Performance issues notwithstanding, this is the best way to experience one of the best games of this generation.
How much better can Red Dead Redemption 2 possibly look?
Sure, in 15 years maybe. I'm playing it right now and it looks better than most games today.
The possibility of a PS5 version for Red Dead Redemption 2 just became a bit more realistic, as the very reliable leaker NateTheHate has claimed in his latest predictions podcast that a next-gen version of the Rockstar open worlder is in the works.
On the podcast, he said: "Those rumours are true. Red Dead Redemption 2 is getting a next-gen update and the game will be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 later this year." They go on to say that they were told the new versions will launch "a few months" after Switch 2's release, which is tomorrow. They then speculate a late summer / early fall launch window.
Be rude not to give it another play. Definitely won't be going for the platinum this time. That was hell 😂
I sincerely hope we finally get a next gen update to this game. It is long overdue. I'd love to see ray tracing and enhanced lighting get added. Perhaps more npc's or animals, ect.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is on an amazing on Steam. Be sure to use the opportunity and get an amazing game at a fraction of the price.
Lmao 😂 are we really doing this? It makes more since to use the best console version for the comparison Xbox one X Native 4K 30 vs PC Uber 4k 60 bells and whistles
Seems odd to use the PS4 Pro as the console representation here when the One X is the best consoles has to offer. Thus all you're doing is comparing the best of the best with the most adequate of the best...
Im playing RDR2 since Friday. No issues At all ,maybe one time game crashed , but a part of that all is good. Btw... it’s amazing game!! So many small bits that’s make you feel R* is one of the best game maker. For example I pick body and my T-shirt was all in blood 😁
Maybe I'm wrong, but the difference between PS4 Pro and the X is in the resolution, and a few dips in the main town. Maybe even that is ironed out since HDR patch. Game having a softer look doe to all volumetric light, I really can't see differences at all, witch is impressive for a weaker hardware.
Now PC has some crazy settings, but overall main difference is in its draw distance, better lighting and color representation, and higher frame rate. ( there a lot more but that is just what I see, not what I read that is changed).
I really like water effects in games so water on pc also stands out for me.
I would compare this PC vs Console thing to Witcher 3 transition going from main game to Blood and Wine DLC where developers themselves made graphical upgrades to have a better experience.
I don't have either console but clearly the One X is more powerful than PS4 Pro. Why not use the One X vs PC. Plus the PS4 Pro is a bit blurry.
