Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 quite possibly the best controller EVER

We finally got our hands on the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, set for release on November 4, 2019. We're still working on an in-depth examination for our review, but the early impressions are very good.

It should be, considering how much it cost.

WickedLester2020d ago (Edited 2020d ago )

Exactly. You can make anything "the best ever" if you pour enough money into it. I dont care how good it is, I'm not ever buying a controller that costs as much as the console I play it on.

QuackShot2020d ago

@WickedLester

What console are you playing on that costs $180?

RpgSama2020d ago

@QuackShot

There's been a bunch of timed deals where you can buy an Xbox One for $180.

https://www.google.com/amp/...

Or maybe you don't consider the Xbox One a console worth noting.

QuackShot2020d ago Show
OldGuyStillGaming2020d ago

I thought the same thing till I actually just said fk it one day and went out to buy the elite 1.
I have no regrets
It’s totally worth it even if it costs as much as the console

WickedLester2020d ago (Edited 2020d ago )

"What console are you playing on that costs $180?"

@QuackShot

It was just an approximation dude. Elite 2 is 180.00. Xbox One -S new is 199.99, only a 20.00 difference. Still doesn't really negate my argument. If I were like a professional e-sports player, MAYBE. But as a casual gamer, the standard issued controller is fine.

Livingthedream2020d ago

That's a pricey control, but considering people spend substantial $$ on headsets typically more than this on good headsets I see people picking this up.

spicelicka2020d ago (Edited 2020d ago )

"You can make anything "the best ever" if you pour enough money into it."

That doesn't change the fact that it's the best controller. I wouldn't buy it but it's an option and it sells or they wouldn't have made another series, and clearly playstation also has a PRO controller around the same price so it has competition.

Angrymorgan2020d ago

Can get a pre owned xbox one for around that.....

QuackShot2020d ago (Edited 2020d ago )

@Angrymorgan

"Can get a pre owned xbox one for around that....."

If we're going to start moving the goalposts then I can buy a pre owned Elite controller for around £65 / $83

bluefox7552020d ago

@QuackShot You're kinda missing the point and obstinately arguing semantics.

NarutoFox2020d ago Show
Christopher2020d ago

@WickedLester: That's your choice, but I love my C40 and my Elite is right behind it. They're great controllers that really improve the experience for me. I understand it's expensive for some people, but don't disregard it just because it's not something you would pay for. The price is based on cost as well as supply and demand (in this case, less demand means higher cost to cover product values of fewer items for a niche market). This is just like how people pay $300 for noise-cancelling, surround-sound headsets. People like those things and it's important to them. That's all.

I hope you have something you enjoy so much that you pay premium for it because it makes you happier.

rainslacker2020d ago

I'd spend 200-300 on a racing wheel, which is only good for one genre of gaming. It changes the overall experience for me though. These high end controllers, while nice, dont offer up enough for me to want to spend that much. I get by fine with regular controllers, and dont need more control for my average gaming time. But, if people like what it has to offer, then go for it. People can decide for themselves if it's worth it or not

Artemidorus2019d ago

Quite easily buy a second hand Xbox for that price with a controller.

xTonyMontana2019d ago

Quackshot stahp please! You sound personally offended, do you work for Microsoft or have some sort of financial motivation here? Not even the majority of fanboys defend something with such fervour.

My two cents here, I'm weeping at the thought of you people from across the pond can buy a console for the same price as this controler's cost over where I live but that's besides the point here, this controller is priced far too highly for the average gamer and they are going to react this way.

This is absolutely fine though as it's not aimed at them in the first place, it's designed to fill the demand for high end peripherals.

@QuackShot

That's why I said it was a timed deal, if you don't want to get too specific the same bundle was for $199 last Black Friday, it was the console plus Minecraft, so the actual console was less than $199. Or you can buy a Switch Lite now for $200

QuackShot2020d ago

@RpgSama

"Or you can buy a Switch Lite now for $200"

You can use an Xbox controller natively on a Switch Lite?

@Wicked

"If I were like a professional e-sports player, MAYBE. But as a casual gamer, the standard issued controller is fine."

Thats why it's called the 'Elite'.

I'm not implying that it's for everyone, it's clearly targeted at a very specific demographic within the market and as a casual gamer maybe thats not you - however that demographic does exist, you only have to look at the success of SCUF to appreciate that.

Christopher2020d ago

@QuckShot: I think you're missing the argument that someone can buy a whole new console on which to play games (Switch Lite) instead of a controller for a console they already have. Both sides are kind of saying the same thing, you just are taking offense at the comparisons when others are saying there's a better way to spend $200, including buying a new console that you don't already own perhaps.

Personally, I think the C40 is the best controller I've had so far. I've got the XBO elite, but I don't like the bumpers. I love the app, but the C40 has better bumpers for me and a more solid feel as well. I'm hoping Elite 2 will improve on the bumpers.

NonPartisanGamer2019d ago

Ok, and for the cost of a modern gaming PC, I could buy 5 or more PS4 Pros. A Lamborghini costs over $200k, which could pay for 10 other vehicles or a house. If you want the Lamborghini of console controllers, you will pay premium that goes along with it.

gamer78042020d ago

It is expensive sure but more money doesn’t always yield quality, just look at some of those expensive headsets out there that are frequently bested by cheaper headsets. Look at the standard Xbox one controller, cheaper than switch pro controller but much better, and no need for scotch tape... and arguably better than the ds4 with no need for Third party rubber grips on analog sticks.

nucky642020d ago

exactly - and how about everyone that bought the first version of this controller for 150 dollars only to find multiple issues with it?
btw - i'm using my launch ps4 controller and no issues with anything. the only reason i like the ps4 controller over the stock xbox1 controller is personal preference: i don't like the offset sticks and it's a little bigger than i prefer. i'm sure many people love the offset sticks and size of it.

neutralgamer19922020d ago

I feel like my $60 controller is too much almost $200 is out of question for me personally

I do wish Sony would let us customize our controllers like ms

Lostbytes2020d ago

Get one at best buy with a 2 year protection plan. Then trade it in for a new one before the time is up. get the plan again on the new controller. Rinse and repeat. Been doing this yearly, since the original came out. Will be doing it again for the v2.

UnholyLight2020d ago

Why with a protection plan? What does that do to help with your "rinse and repeat" strategy

2020d ago
Lostbytes2019d ago

@unholylight Because, i pay once a year the cost of a protection plan (40$) and get a new controller every year. Or whenever needed.

rlow12020d ago

Looking forward to checking out more reviews on this......Glad they spent the time improving it......I'm wondering how it will fair compared to the controller that will launch with Scarlett?

QuackShot2020d ago

@rlow1

"Glad they spent the time improving it"

This.

The old Elite controller was based off the original Xbox One controller that had shoulder buttons that failed after a few thousand clicks.

Microsoft have replaced mine three times already (even though its out of warranty) but I've now taken to buying replacement parts from Amazon for a few £'s each as its an easy repair and quicker than the turn around time for a replacment from MS.

Thankfully the new model is based off the newer controller design that doesn't have this problem, I've got one pre ordered and looking forward to checking it out myself.

Stanjara2020d ago

Wow, way to sell a product. This thing is gonna be ObsoElite in a year.

QuackShot2020d ago

@Stanjara

"Wow, way to sell a product"

I'm not trying to sell a product Stanjara, I'm giving an honest, unbiased opinion based on my experience with the original Elite controller.

I don't subscribe to fanboy wars, I don't worship at the corporate alter of Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo, though I do own an X, a Pro, a Switch and a pretty decent gaming PC

I'm happy to give credit where it's due, dispute comments when they are inaccurate and because I am not emotionaly attached to any particular plastic box call out bias when I see it.

Pickledpepper2020d ago

@quackshot
By the way great game on the Sega Megadrive.
Now back to the original Xbox controller, what the he'll are you hitting them controller buttons with? I must of pushed the shoulder buttons 1000s and 1000s of times and even thrown it a few times and still no problems.

terstomp2020d ago

Best controller ever... said by windowscentral website.
Three negatives for me: still no gyro (PS4 has), internal battery, offset thumb sticks (unchangeable).

Pickledpepper2020d ago

I have a ps4 and an x1x, I would rather external batteries all day long because they last a lot longer and when they do finally die, very quick to change and don't have the hassle of taking controller apart to change internal battery.
The offset thumbs sticks are the choice of nearly all competitive gamers, if they are that bad why are so many other company's and competitors copying the design? More than not

UnHoly_One2020d ago

The new one has an internal battery, which really sucks.

plmkoh2019d ago

Where do people get the idea that internal batteries are not replaceable?

Sony literally has 'maintainable' in their corporate mission. All of their products are maintainable.

My PS4 controllers are modded with $15 battery from Aliexpress for double battery life. You just need 5 minutes, and a screwdrivers.

If even that is too hard, you then buy a 1000mah $10 usb power bank from Bestbuy and then duct tape it to your controller and voila 'external' battery.

Pickledpepper2019d ago

@plmkoh
Did I say in my comment that the ps4 battery was not replaceable?
It's more of an inconvenience, yes it might only take 5mins but if your in the middle of a game especially if your online and your battery dies you don't want to be hunting around for screw drivers, at least with the Xbox controller the batteries last longer and it's out and it with the new ones.
And no one wants duct tape stuck all over their controller.

Immorals2020d ago

Replaceable batteries is a massive positive, and symmetrical sticks on the ds4 is literally unusable for me, had to buy a 3rd party hori controller

Christopher2020d ago

***literally unusable for me***

Perhaps it's less comfortable, or even harder to use, but "literally unusable"? Perhaps the MS Adaptive Controller is something you should look into if you're unable to use a normal controller. Or, perhaps let's not exaggerate?

Snookies122019d ago (Edited 2019d ago )

There is something wrong with your thumbs if you can't manage using symmetrical sticks. I don't really like the Xbox's asymmetrical design, but it's not like it has ever inhibited my ability to play a game. Nor would I ever call them "unusable".

Christopher2020d ago (Edited 2020d ago )

I do wish it had an internal battery, but I tend to use mine with the cord as it's very long. Gyro I only care about on PS4 for typing things out (really nice feature there), otherwise I don't play games that utilize it. I have zero issue with offset or symmetrical thumbsticks and am confused as to how less capable people are to adjust muscle memory to both layouts.

rainslacker2020d ago

I can switch between controller layouts without any issue. I use xbox layout controllers at work most of the time, and ps4 at home. Switch or the wiiU a while back were their own thing. Vita had a different layout. Some I find more comfortable, and some are better for my carpek tunnel...although that's usually temporary until the initial swelling dies down...but I 100% agree that people are over exaggerating the effects they have on a person playing or ability to use the controllers themselves.

Kiwi662020d ago

Then you'd hate a 3rd party pro elite controller for ps4 that has the sticks in the same orientation as the xbox one

CaptainCook2019d ago

Did you see the Xbox Controller Elite 2 Specs? It has an internal Battery that last for about 40 hours each play time before charge.

Reaction: Xbox Needs A New, Reliable Competitor For PS5's 'DualSense Edge'

The arrival of PlayStation's equivalent controller has got us thinking that it's about time we started to hear about an 'Xbox Elite 3 Controller' from Microsoft. While we certainly have a feature list that we'd love to see implemented, we primarily want Xbox to focus on two main improvements.

The first one is pretty obvious, an Elite 3 should (and would, you'd think) be built around the Xbox Series X|S pad. After a couple of years we're now fully adjusted to any subtle differences the new controller offers — like a slightly slimmer build and the prominent share button — so we're more than ready for a DualSense Edge competitor that's properly 'next-gen'.

However, the second key focus has to be around properly fixing all of the issues we saw with the Elite 1 and 2 controllers. Yes, these are more complex devices than normal gamepads, and yes the DualSense Edge is yet to stand up to the test of time, but the simple fact is these things should be very reliable given the prices we're being charged for them.

It's about time for Elite 3 anyway, but you've got to be thinking the praise DualSense Edge is getting will force their hand.

Flawlessmic825d ago (Edited 825d ago )

An elite 3 is definnatly coming at some point.

It seems the edge is an amazing controller with one shortfall of a very bad battery.

If Ms can find the middle ground and improve on the elite 2 while maintaining great battery life that will take it over the edge.

Neither is for me though, way to expensive for an uncompetitive gamer who mostly plays sp games anyway

darthv72825d ago

the only praise worthy thing about the edge is the removable analog sticks. Other than that it is a DS5 with back buttons but with higher price and shorter battery life.

SullysCigar825d ago

Lol c'mon darthv72, let's be a bit more honest here. If you actually read the reviews there are more differences than that - adjustable trigger tensioners for starters.

As for the battery life, if you're a competitive gamer and you're willing to shell out $200+ for a controller, you're not playing wirelessly. You're doing whatever you can to gain a competitive advantage - and that means minimising input lag, which in turn means you play wired. The same goes for any controller.

VenomUK825d ago

@darthv72 When you've got a dedicated Xbox website effectively praising the PlayStation DualSense Edge premium controller and yet you are downplaying its merits then perhaps it's time to ask 'am I being disproportionately critical?'

darthv72825d ago

@sully, i am being honest. The replaceable analog sticks are a praise worthy feature. The back buttons and trigger sensitivity switches are all just PS take on the XB elite controller.

@venom, they can like it all they want, it doesnt change my view on the subject. Im not downplaying anything, just telling it like it is. Just as the elite is a higher priced XB controller with back buttons... so is this.

Sonic1881825d ago (Edited 825d ago )

The Elite 3 would probably be close to the same price if they add the same features like the Dualsense Edge controller. It would also have a shorter battery life as well if they add similar features like the dualsense edge. Just saying

StarkR3ality825d ago

The edge is 4 hours. The elite series 2 is 40 hours. A touchpad and some fancy triggers does not equate to a 90% decrease in battery.

Babadook7825d ago (Edited 825d ago )

@above

Let’s not make a mountain out of a molehill. The dual sense edge should last around 12 hours.

Sonic1881825d ago (Edited 825d ago )

It's actually 6 to 8 hours

StarkR3ality825d ago

No reviews have said it's 4 hours. I'm sure it's a great controller but don't fudge the figures, it's worse than the dualsense.

Reliability is the most important thing to improve, but how do you market that without admitting you have a quality issue? Outside of that either swapable thumbsticks or that magnetic no-contact switch thumbstick design that ppl have been talking about would be good

SierraGuy825d ago

I don't understand why laser tracked thumbsticks aren't a thing yet.

lonewolf10825d ago

Odd about the quality issues with the Elites, I'm using the red Gears of War controller and have done since it released way back when with no issues (well apart from me breaking the shoulder button rocker by dropping it, easily replaced though thank god).

StarkR3ality825d ago

Yeah the OG Xbox one controller was super reliable for me, Elite series 2 I've had replaced twice. It's the crappy shoulder buttons that always go for me, terrible design. Stick drift I've never had any issues with at all.

Pickledpepper825d ago

I've haven't had any issues with my elite 2 either. The controller is awesome and yes I prefer it over my ps5 controller.
I might just be me or it could be fanboys just don't want to admit it but the adaptive triggers on the ps5 controller are annoying more than anything and I don't find they add any depth to a game at all, after a while you don't even realise they are doing anything anyway.
HZD 2 when you use your staff to open the doors and the triggers get a little stiff and that's it!

crazyCoconuts825d ago

it gets stiff when you use your staff to open doors?

StarkR3ality825d ago (Edited 825d ago )

I actually like the PS5 adaptive triggers depending on the implementation (mainly first party titles). I think overall the Edge will be the better controller but the reviews I've watched have put the battery life as worse than the dualsense at about 4 hours, the series 2 is 40 hours and I refuse to believe that adaptive triggers and rumble means 10x less battery. That really isn't good enough, but if it's more reliable than the elite series, then maybe the less battery life will be worth it to some people.

Costs way too much though, considering that the series 2 was £170 at launch (can be found at £140 new ATM) it's way overpriced at £210. Baring in mind the series 2 comes with more customisable hardware, the same if not more software features and something I really like but it's not essential, the magnetic wireless charger. But if the dualsense edge is more reliable which I assume it will be for the price, it might be worth once the price comes down.

deadfrag825d ago (Edited 825d ago )

You can turn off the adaptive feature!

Destiny1080825d ago (Edited 825d ago )

without next-gen features, its going to look really silly next to the edge controller

your best bet is for sony to release a set of xbox drivers for the edge controller

crazyCoconuts825d ago

It's not technically competing with Sony directly, so it's not a big deal. The target audience for Elite controllers are people that either have Xboxes already or game on a PC.

Outside_ofthe_Box825d ago

People need to apply this logic elsewhere too

Orchard825d ago

"your best bet is for sony to release a set of xbox drivers for the edge controller"

That will literally never happen. Third party developers cannot create input drivers for Xbox lol.

Your best bet for a new Xbox controller is clearly from Xbox.

crazyCoconuts825d ago

Orchard825d ago

They'll launch an Elite 3 at some point this gen, and probably a refreshed base controller too.

StarkR3ality825d ago (Edited 825d ago )

Disagree with the base controller, I think they will just stick the existing one, series 3 is a cert though.

Also I thought the Sony fanboys hated me even though I own and love my PS5 but just don't like anyone who has a Xbox or a PC. But damn they hate you my guy 😂

Orchard825d ago

Haha, I know right!

And yeah I could be totally wrong on the base controller, I just hope they've been beat up enough over re-shipping the XB1 controller that they might refresh it.

But agree that Elite 3 will definitely come.

It’s a nice looking controller but they lost me at $199. It’s just too much imo. The Elite Series 2 is $155 on Amazon.

darthv72924d ago

...if only elite series 2 had replaceable thumb sticks if things go wrong. But at either price... NOTHING should go wrong. They should be built to be worth that level of price.

Kados924d ago

Hopefully they do a Series 3 with Hall Effect analogs. That would solve the drift issue completely.

Eonjay923d ago

I feel like if you are spending the money for a pro controller I would rather have the ability to pay 20 to replace the sticks off something breaks for whatever reason then buying a while new controller. I have yet to find a single thing I couldn't accidentally break... Besides my phone and it's gonna have to self destruct before I replace it.

DarthZoolu923d ago

neutralgamer1992924d ago

1-$200 for controllers
2-$400 for expansion packs
3-Games filled with micro transactions
4-Launching games that aren't ready
5-Play it safe sequels only and even if new IP don't take risks

6- try to find the one game everyone is willing to play so the most amount of money could be generated

This is what gaming has become

If they were releasing more controllers than games I would understand but PS isn’t …

Rude-ro924d ago

If the elite was worth buying, Ie not faulty, your arguments would be correct..
now, we have to see if the PlayStation is not..
If it is not, it is automatically the better of the two.
The elite series two is still junk as still is having button latency and the r2 trigger scrapping out. Issues

ActualEngineer924d ago

The xbox just feels more comfortable, having the left thumbstick in the upper left corner. I used to always own playstation consoles, but when I got my hands on a 360 controller, I was hooked ever since.

shinoff2183924d ago

I simply disagree. Ps controller just feels natural.

sinspirit924d ago

So the right analog stick is uncomfortable to you?

JEECE924d ago

This exactly. Your thumb is in the same location on each hand. It either feels better up or down. So either the PlayStation controller is perfect for thumb position and the Xbox controller is 50% correct, or the PlayStation controller is completely wrong for thumb position and the Xbox controller is 50% correct.

ActualEngineer923d ago

You see my name, notice it has the word engineer in it?! I'm an Industrial Design Engineer.

Having the thumbsticks not in a parallel arrangement both helps the brain distinguish each hand's indivifual role / function, aswell as parallelise the nature of the control, because by lowering the right thumb you put the right hand in a defensive or a contemplating position and by placing the left thumb in an upper position you have the hand pointing forward in a movement-like directional position.

ALSO if you do notice how you hold the remote while your body is resting, the weight is on your right hand which rests lower that the left hand, while the left hand is more active ... AS IT SHOULD BE since you move energetically but execute commands cautiously.

Symmetry delutes it's function if there is a reason of purpose. USE YOUR BRAIN.

Mr_cheese923d ago

I'm a cheese connoisseur

sinspirit923d ago

@ActualEngineer

Hmmm, nope. No one gets confused on left and right. Your brain already does this for you. Asymmetrical controls work in an industrial environment for safety hazards such as low light conditions or reducing a bad habit of operating controls the wrong way. Such as trying both hands on the left hand side of equipment that purposely splits them apart by function. The grips will be shaped in a way to know it's on the left or right side. The seat you are in will direct your body as well to know what is in front, and therefore left and right. In this case those controls tend to be less oftenly made as anything but a generic knob shape that your hand won't differentiate.

This already does apply to all controllers by the way. Try holding the left side of your controller with your right hand. You can differentiate it, right? Are you confused by what side is what if you go to hold the controller in the dark? Nope. The left hand is actually not more active in many games. The right analog has more precise movement most of the time while the left is normally held in one direction with no effort for accuracy.

Also, you don't make something parallel by changing the whole layout. It's less parallel because the layout is not mirrored.

Nope. I don't rest that way at all. If the controller is making you rest a certain way then this is how you know it strains your hand out more and your body is not comfortable or able to find a resting position with either hand lower than the other. This is a realistic engineering argument because an ergonomics engineer can tell you the left analog being higher but with the same hand grip means you are naturally extending your thumb north to move the stick. The natural resting motion of your thumb is more suited for a playstation analog layout.

I know you're either over-complicating or trolling but still this is how misinformation spreads, lol.

boing1923d ago

@ActualEngineer

If you introduce assymetry into the mix, than you're risking of alienating some people, just like ergonomic mouses only for right-handed.

I_am_Batman923d ago

@ActualEngineer:

I am Batman and your comment sounds more like Feng Shui than engineering to me. But that may just be, because I've used both types of controllers and never had any issue using either configuration. To be fair, that may be because I'm super intelligent (being Batman and all) and my brain manages to adapt to the seemingly impossible task of moving one thumb in a slightly different position, without rendering my hands dysfunctional.

ActualEngineer923d ago

Do you expect an ergonomic analysis of the grip posture and the stresses to the individual tendons, of me?! Your cns is trained to function in a certain way, at all times and under every condition. When it comes into contact with something unnatural, it can adapt and create a new neural path for it BUT there is no point in doing so since you can just leverage a better hand posture by moving the damn thunbstick in the upper left position, so that the position of the stick and the overall thumb movement express a better parallel towards the physiology of the function at hand (literally lol). What you said about industrial controllers had NOTHING to do with industrial design - industrial design is the architecture of goods consumed or used by a sentient being, but I have to say that it was a nice try in sounding credible. In the end it is the analog to the physiology that is not right when you have to extend your thumb to go right and withdraw for left, it is simply a neurological mindf**k to which your brain has been adjusted to. Also you are stressing the metacarpophalangeal joint aswell as the extensor and abductor tendons in your thumb. ALSO the upper position provides a higher level of control.

Now this is enough time I'm willing to spend, arguing with little kids in the comment section.

What a shame that you couldn't coherently convince people so resorted to attempting to degrade those responding to your points.

My comment was definitely in jest because of your wording however, but I raise the question of other devices. If we remove the controller for a moment and think of everything else we use two hands for including our phones, symmetry is key. Even the mighty apple hasn't tried to rebrand in the name of ergonomics and psychological use.

I have to disagree. XBOX left Analogue just doesn't work for me, i like using claw grip and playstation is just better at it. Keeping your thumb in place at the analogue stick and pressing d-pad using index finger... you can't do this whit Xbox, clawgrip on Xbox is just bad!

boing1923d ago

I concur. I'm pretty sure they went assymetrical just because playstation already had the best symmetrical placement.

@ActualEngineer I bought a Series X almost a year ago and you're wrong. Maybe if you would've said, "in my opinion," but you didn't. I play shooters with the L1/R1 to zoom and shoot. I can't do this with the Xbox controller because of the placement of the left stick, my finger always slips off the zoom button (LB).

Hey actualengineer.

One your opinion isnt everyone elses

Two pretty sure engineers can be wrong. Wouldnt be the first time.

ActualEngineer923d ago

You think you have seen stuff when physicists fight, but you haven't seen jack until you see two engineers fight 😅

If the battery is at least 20hrs then it's a day one but they haven't said anything about it yet so...

I might as well just get that back button attachment mod on amazon at this point, I can't stand the horrid short battery on PS controllers and constantly seeing that low battery indicator every couple of gaming sessions I do...

boing1923d ago

Having two controllers and charging station completely negated the issue with battery for me. Charging station especially. I have the official one and dropping the controller on it is effortless.

I hope they fix the reliability issues as I'm on my third controller and it's the only controller I've ever had with issue during my time with them. Stick drift, faulty button, coming apart to name a few things. But the white looks awesome and as soon as they release a white series x I'm all over it lol

Killer73nova1148d ago

It’s like a hit or miss with these controllers. I’m still using my elite one and got it day one of release.

wiz71911148d ago

I just got a series 2 and so far I love it , hopefully I don’t come across any issues

ABizzel11148d ago

I agree, but for the price it shouldn't be. I'm thankfully still on my original, but I know people also on their 2nd and 3rd after a few years.

roadkillers1148d ago

Are these pretty good? The Ps5 one is beautiful, very sad I cannot use on the Xbox. Are these a good substitute? (Ignoring the vibration stuff)

Rude-ro1148d ago

They have not been reliable. To the point that the legal system had Microsoft extend their warranty knowing that they can be faulty.

Saying that, I do love my elite 2 controller and what it offers. Although I do run into the faulty button reading from time to time but I am not a competitive player and it is what it is.
