Both weren't so bad this month. Never played Sniper so that's cool for PS4. Wipeout is always fun.

Xbox's 360 offerings are great and is another example of why BC is such a great feature when it comes to giving away games.

lxeasy2095d ago

why is it so hard for you to admit Xbox won this month

gangsta_red2095d ago

It's not hard at all if it were true.

sprinterboy2094d ago

I don't own a xbox cause I'm sensible with my money and don't throw it away so how does xbox games with gold win?

CaptainObvious8782094d ago

As an avid Sony fan, sans their recent censorship, I can easily admit MS won this month.

lxeasy2094d ago

you know deep inside GWG is better than the 2 games ps is offering. lol

C'mon y'all. Great PS4 exclusive and a decent 3rd party shooter vs games already available on Gamepass for $1. I'm not even trying to diss Xbox but this month was a clear victory for PS Plus.

Atom6662095d ago

Forza 6, LoS, and Torchlight aren't on Game Pass. But isn't Sniper Elite 4 on PS Now?

Silly gameAr2095d ago

PS Now? That's a weird comparison. PSNow has never been a dollar.

Atom6662095d ago

Free trial...

I bought a year sub for $60. So $5 a month?

Yeah, the comparison sounds pretty good to me.

Silly gameAr2094d ago (Edited 2094d ago )

A free trial is the same as "buying" an actual sub? Even if it's only a dollar, you're still buying a sub. Still a weird comparison.

Atom6662094d ago

You're right, a $1 introductory offer is more expensive than a free introductory offer. Good point. Makes that PS+ offering even weaker, I guess.

If you look into any article calling GP "the best deal," you'll see dozens of commenters pointing out that Now is actually cheaper. Especially when people like me grabbed a year's sub for $60. Strange that some will try to put down GP for offering a good deal, but later others put it down for being more expensive.

But just to clarify, I was simply pointing out the silliness in OP's, factually inaccurate, hypocrisy. Sorry you're having trouble seeing it yourself.

You are so salty that you bring up the price of the games, hilarious.

gamer78042095d ago

until sony reinstates 4 games, it will forever be at a disadvantage objectively speaking. I hope they step up that aspect next gen

Ausbo2095d ago

They probably will since ps5 will be back compat. Expect 4 games again. 2 ps5 and 2 ps4

gamer78042095d ago

That would be sweet hope you are right but it might take a while to rev up the ps5 games

gangsta_red2095d ago

Hopefully with Ps5 having BC Sony will be able to offer PS4 games along with some ps5 games as well.

Silly gameAr2094d ago (Edited 2094d ago )

Yep. Doesn't matter how great the games are, if we don't get 4, then it doesn't count, amirite? They should just give us new games as well. That's the least Sony could do for 60 dollars a year. Freaking cheapskates.

bluefox7552094d ago

I'll take quality over quantity any day.

gamer78042094d ago

but your potential for value across a diverse gamer base increases with 4 games, you could get 4 games of high quality across various genres which would out-value 2 games of equal caliber. Any way you cut it, 4 games will most likely end up with a greater value.

sprinterboy2094d ago

I just don't get why Sony don't throw some indie in there to make 4 games every month,
I've been so unlucky this gen as most games on ps plus I've owned yet there is a handful of indie games I would love to try but on the fence about.

Italiano12345672095d ago

Im not gonna say which is better but i will say u can actually own gears for 2 bucks and Forza 6 is gonna be delisted son. 360 games are good wipeout is awesome and beautiful havent played sniper 4

Imortus_san2094d ago (Edited 2094d ago )

Both Forza 6 and Gears 4 are miles better then Sniper 4 and Wipout, and that's what count's, hell, any game this month on Gold is better then those two on Plus.

sprinterboy2094d ago

Forza 6 is like getting a old outdated fifa game from a hated uncle. Other than that a good month for MS but personally I prefer SE4 and Wipeout over forza and gears but hey thats just me.

5 Best PSVR Games That Need PSVR 2 Ports

Alongside big hitters like Horizon Call of the Mountain, Gran Turismo 7 and Resident Evil Village, PSVR 2 is already home to some of the best PSVR games and experiences, like Moss and Tetris Effect. Better yet, some ports like Job Simulator, Song in The Smoke and Pistol Whip offer free cross-generation upgrades if you bought them for the original PSVR.

There are many PSVR titles we’d love to see leap onto PlayStation VR2. Here's our pick.

True indeed. Great picks. I'd also like Raw Data remastered, LA Noire, Iron Man, Arch Angel, Mortal Blitz and many others. We'll see what gets ported over time.

SullysCigar789d ago

There are so many that would benefit from a PSVR2 facelift with all the bells and whistles.

To add to your list, I'd also like: Hitman 1-3, Xing: The Land Beyond, The Room: VR, Red Matter, Farpoint, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, The Persistence, To the Top, Until You Fall, Arashi: Castles of Sin, Sniper Elite VR, Fracked, Dreams - I'm sure there are loads I've forgotten!

IAMTHEVOID789d ago

To add a sixth game to that list I need on ps vr2 is Vader Immortal

Abnor_Mal789d ago

Did anyone ever play Robinson: The Journey?

Oh and to add to the list I’d definitely put Bravo Team up for porting to PS5. I don’t understand why that game got so much flak when the only problem was the camera zooming out from first to third person when you had to move locations.

Other ports I would like to see wake its way over at some point would be DWVR, Immortsl Legacy, The Mages Tale, Killing Floor Incursion. Never played although I know I own them Unearthing Mars1/2 and Budget Cuts. Doom and Skyrim VR I’m not holding my breath on but would be nice.

EverydayJoe787d ago

I did. Was a beautiful game for its time.

MIDGETonSTILTS17789d ago (Edited 789d ago )

I would just add SUPERHOT.

Great list otherwise.

I’d easily pay $10 for an upgrade for any of these games, or full price for a vr2 version if I don’t own it yet.

Idc if the games are brand new, just as long as they work for my new headset.

Please update and take my money, devs 💰

Six racing games we'd love to play on PSVR2

Since we recently tried out Gran Turismo 7 on the PSVR2, it had us at Traxion.GG wondering what other racing titles might be just as intoxicating on this epic piece of hardware.

Here's a video discussing the games we'd like to see and our thoughts on the chances of a PSVR2 version for each of them.

Profchaos803d ago

I know it's never going to happen but a midnight club LA remaster with psvr2 support would be very high on my list along with NFS underground 1/2.

I wish I could play wipeout in VR but that was the only game I really struggled with motion sickness on.

ApocalypseShadow803d ago

I'd like Motor Storm, Tourist Trophy, Pod Racer, NFS Hot Pursuit 2, F355 Challenge and Mod Nation Racers. Just to start. Could use a lot more over the years.

Abnor_Mal803d ago

While I have no problem with circuit racers,, I would prefer more open world driving/racing games in vr.

Living cities with real traffic with drivers obeying road rules for the most part. Stopping for red lights, yielding for merging traffic and traffic jams.

I use to love just driving around in Midnight Club LA listening to the radio and using my Logitech wheel. I still do the same in the Crew1/2 but it’s not the same.

I’d also like to drive through GTA5s Los Santos in first person in vr but that’s not going to happen with a wheel on PS5.

5 Video Games That Should Have Been Shorter, and 5 That Should Have Been Longer

GB: "Nailing an experience's length is easier said and done, and one way or another, these games left a little to be desired on that front."

I always have a problem with games that should have been longer when lasting 8-10 hours.
Here's a question I ask all the time when ppl say that.
How many times have you replayed the story of a great game like Tlou2, GOW, Final Fantasy remake, GTA, Zelda, or any other 20 hours plus game? and usually, the answer varies between 0 and rarely 1.

So what's the point of having great 30 hours plus games if you will never replay them because of level, section, grinding dragging too long?

Lifexline816d ago (Edited 816d ago )

I agree I’m not sure how people find the time to play all these games. 20 plus hour games are great but for me 8 to 10 is the sweet spot. Those games take to long to finish specially when you have a backlog of games waiting to be played. Plus 20 plus hour games always have downtime and unnecessary side quests that can be boring too much fodder imo.

Being on your phone is one thing you can access websites like this everywhere on your phone or mobile gaming. But games you have to find the time to play them. Which is why I don’t understand why so many people want like ten games it seems In a month.

LucasRuinedChildhood816d ago (Edited 816d ago )

I think you're missing the point a bit.

A game can be 8-10 hours long and use that time really well, but it can also only start to get good far into the playthrough and leave the player feeling short-changed.

Hotline Miami is only 4-5 hours long but it's extremely well paced and time well spent. But if only got really good towards the end, I'd want it to be longer.

Stanjara816d ago

You just look at trophies and se that around 20% or less actually finish their games.

CrimsonWing69816d ago

I've replayed all those games except GTA and Breath of Wild because I can never finish them.

The Last of Us 2 i've replayed 4 times. God of War (2018) 2 times, Final Fantasy Remake 3 time (technically Intergrade twice since went on Steam and I wanted 100% achievements), and if we do want to bring in Zelda I've played Ocarina of Time probably 4 to 6 times a few times on N64, another time on 3DS, and twice on virtual console Wii and Wii U.

I am sure I'm not alone in replaying long games and honestly it's like I'm finished within a week or two and that with balancing responsibilities and a social life. Shorter games take even less time.

BrainSyphoned816d ago

Without mentioning Skyrim.. I've got two platinum trophies for Persona 5 and am playing it on game pass right now. Beat FF7R on normal twice and hard once and will play it again before the next one. Non story games- MHW I've made characters on PC/Xbox/PS with at least 600 hours on each platform. I don't care to play a mediocre games that are 8 hours long. The reason my backlog is so long isn't because that many good games are released each year it is because I replay the best ones over and over. Same deal with audio books. I've gone through book series multiple times every time a new one is coming out.

Disagree with Days Gone - yeah it took a while to really get going, but I appreciated it when I was done. Jumping right in at 4-5 hrs or whatever would've made the rest feel less impactful. RDR2 and Mankind Divided felt just right too, I wouldn't change them at all.

What needed less time was AC Valhalla. I was more than ready to be done with that by the time it was 2/3 over. Just too much useless stuff, and I hated the Asgard sections.
