Okay, he includes things like random death sounds, cursors, random title screens, and title screen effects.

Only two things they mentioned I would actually classify as “content” or “features”. Most of the things missing are just Easter eggs.

Talk about what it adds though...Mario Maker 2 adds so much more in the way of actually content

and includes significantly more.. are we really nitpicking about a title screen not being as "interactive" and saying that this is a fault of the second game (if we are going by your video you posted as one of the examples)? I didn't realize we just sat and played the title screen. I don't think I have done that since Mario 64.

Yeah... No. Not only was LBP not the 1st level making game, Wrecking Crew on the NES was a game that had you play as Mario and it allowed you to make levels, it came out way before LBP did.

Why do we still take their opinion in high regard? This is the same site that says the new COD is jarring/problematic because it's too realistic. I'm not saying the game doesn't deserve this score, but journalists who say shit like that shouldn't be taken seriously.

That distinction probably belongs to Super Mario Odyssey. There is also Smash Ultimate with Bayonetta 3 and Metroid Prime 4 on the way. The sequel to Breath of the Wild is also nothing to scoff at.

And if the online ever gets sorted out, I would dare to include Splatoon 2.

I found Odyssey fun and unique, but I wouldn't call it a killer app. It's the best 3D Mario game though. Smash Bros is a fantastic game and definitely belongs in every Switch owners library! Bayo 3 is definitely not a system seller in my opinion. That game burned bridges when it went to Nintendo platforms. Look at the sales of Bayo 2... I am looking forward to it though. Prime 4 is the game I want the most and hope it lives up to my lofty Metroid expectations. As for Splatoon 2, I found the game run, but way too sweaty for my tastes so it sits on my shelf unfortunately
