IGN's a mess as of lately. If I search it on google I always get linked to the sucky localized (dutch) version which I do not even bother with. When I reach it with my smartphone it's just all commercials and popping videos on the top of the screen, glitching in and out like F*** rendering the site effectively useless. I get my information elsewhere these days, it's also too PC and quite frankly too generous with scores.

I lost all respect for IGN when they faked their Resident evil 2 review. theres just better reviewers out there on youtube such as ACG , angry joe , etc.

Just for reference, COD Ghosts got an 8.8 and Advanced Warfare got a 9.1. So these two BAD COD games are better then the best Metro game according to IGN.

IGN is my least favorite news source mostly because of how bloated their website is and those awful auto playing videos are terrible. It's still awful even with ublock/disconnect stopping a bunch of crap :/

Shouldn't this have been reported as it clearly states that it was reviewed on the Xbox One X?? But the PS4 and PC has been tagged. Any smaller site would've been flagged for this?

the tags don't correlate to the review of a game on a particular platform. the game is available on all platforms that's why pc and ps are tagged.

it does, actually. platform tags for reviews are only supposed to be the platform it was marked as being reviewed on.

No because it says above "Metro Exodus Review" that it was reviewed on Xbox One, PC and PS4, so all of those tags are valid.

In the video it states that it was reviewed on Xbox One X. I didn’t see any other platforms mentioned in this video. That being said, I personally think that if a game has been reviewed and it’s on other platforms, it should be allowed to be tagged on the other platforms it’s available for imho. It’s just something that seems to be flagged for smaller sites, whereas big sites like IGN, N4G seems to allow. It’s confusing and not very fair imho.

I'm happy with how it's been received and I'm going to get it but does anyone else think it would have been better if it'd been more of an open world RPG rather than flirting with it? I think the series has the potential to topple Fallout because they do a lot so much better and it's about time a new contender stepped into the ring.

Yeah, no kidding. This series seems like it has aspirations in that direction though does it not? Everyone complains about open world games but how many rivals to Fallout are there really?

I think it's an area that the Metro series could move into, they've got the edge on Bethesda in many ways and it's about time they had competition. It wouldn't mean Metro would have to change its core values, I believe they would have gone full open world with Exodus if they'd had the financial backing and manpower.

What is the gunplay like - I never finished the earlier metro games, loved the story, settings and characters but really hated the gunplay, there was something off with the shooting physics, and it just didn't feel good (at least on console).
