PlayStation vs Nintendo vs Xbox 2018 Exclusives

It's been a strong year for console exclusives, with each console having at least one genuine smash hit to proudly lead it into the next.

Soulja mini beats all

King_Noctis2338d ago

Oh yeah. That sweet, glorious, and awesome pop station games. Nothing could beat that.

PhoenixUp2339d ago

How sad is it when a title like State of Decay 2 is included in one of IGN’s lists of their top 3 reviewer games for a platform?

AngelicIceDiamond2338d ago

I dunno maybe because they like the game? Either way we know Sony won with better and more exclusives than MS no argument there.

It cracks me up, I have an xbox fanboy friend who at the beginning of this gen would always post hashtags like #doyouevenexclusive #indiestation4 #xboxonedoesitbetter #onlyonxbox. Now...nothing. haha Poor guy

King_Noctis2338d ago

There are still a few things that Xbox still does better though, Gamepass for example.

Atticus_finch2338d ago

"Game pass" Well it is not on Ps4, so yea.
"A fee things" But only names one.
Xbox greatest strength seems to be it's PR department.

King_Noctis2338d ago

"A fee things" But only names one.

Well, first thing first is said Gamepass service. Then it is the extensive backward compatibility. Third, crossplay. Fourth, unlimited cloud storage without needing Xbox live gold. Lastly, Xbox one can play 4K blue ray disk. I’m sure there are a couple more small ones as well.

But in the games department, Sony beats MS hand down currently.

NarutoFox2338d ago

@King

Everything you mention will probably be on the PS5 like BC, 4K blue ray disk, crossplay. Its going to always come down to the games next generation

outsider16242337d ago

Only thing I'd really want on ps4 is backwards compatibility. That's it.

trooper_2337d ago

...And?

Doesn't replace exclusives.

Chevalier2337d ago

" Then it is the extensive backward compatibility. Third, crossplay."

Extensive BC?! Its pretty limited. If you wanted 'extensive' then full catologues of games were available on the PS2, PS3 and WiiU. As for Crossplay, PS4 still has the biggest list of crossplayable games for consoles.

KickSpinFilter2337d ago (Edited 2337d ago )

Or free games behind a Paywall for example, oh wait that's not good.

Hey each system has it's + and -. But I think your going to see a PS5 in 2020 with FULL BC with PS4. PSNow with choice of streaming or downloads available for PS1,2,3 games. Crossplay in full effect. BluRay disk support.
And the big one exclusive MAJOR games coming out at launch of PS5 like TLOU2 and Ghost of Tsushima.
If TLOU2 is a launch title for PS5 MS gonna have a hard time going up against that match especially if PS5 has BC with PS4 at the start of a launch of a system not 4 years in when it does not matter that much anymore.

Will the PS5 Pro be the first console to exceed a $1k price tag?

PRIMORDUS3h ago

If that's true, Sony will sell less just like MS and Xbox raising prices they will have a lot more consoles unsold.

andy852h ago

It's not gonna go up $350 😂

Zenzuu2m ago

It's already over 1k here in Australia.

darthv724h ago

Like I said in the XB price increase... I'm glad I already got it when I did. And don't shy away from the 2nd hand markets. I see 5's going for around $300-400. Sometimes with a stack of games.

RCJvg4h ago

Obviously. Sony loves to increase prices

pwnmaster30001h ago

What company doesn’t?

Hate to sound like a hipster but I kind of miss when gaming was just for “kids” or “nerds”

anast3h ago

People are junkies. They will buy it anyway.

gold_drake3h ago

for those who want the pro, get it now.

Twilight Monk Review | NoobFeed

NoobFeed editor Adiba writes - Twilight Monk isn't here to create something new. Instead, it provides an intimate, exquisitely written journey that seems very personal. It's clear that the creator of this meant to convey a world, not just create a game. The story is rich, the mechanics are tricky but useful when you get the hang of it, and the representation of the world is very warm and cordial, giving a "home" feel to it.
