It would run great, pobably. Just compare the scope of Spiderman and AC:O. In Spiderman they had to use many (amazing) tricks to make it look like the living city. In AC:O there is very diverse world with hundreds real time generated things happening on every scene.
Does it run like s*? Sure, sometimes it does, I had some drops below 60 fps in the cities but there is no way you could even compare AC:O world to Spiderman. If you really have to, compare it to Horizon: Zero Dawn - there you can see real magic (in 30 fps, but it is amazing nontheless).

I haven't been a fan of AC since the 360 however Origins played superbly on the X. Thoroughly enjoyed that game despite its average story

@drum. They're not starting over from scratch. No new engine. They're building off previous games that gave been pumped out every couple of years. They could have polished the animations and made it feel more alive. If they care about quality, they'd take their time releasing a polished product.

I don't trust reviews anymore. My bet is that the reviews surrounding this game are high because of the politics. Ubisoft cucked out and denounced the fact that they've never offered female characters before (other tha Liberty). Ironic considering the best AC character was a womanising white male. Playing as a Spartan female in ancient Greece just seems more like a political plot as opposed to an innovative feature

If there were only 2 AC games a generation then the series would probably be amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed Origins however have zero interest in Odyssey. It's too much too often

I want this as I loved orgins but everyone I know who has this game says it's not better than orgins. Orgins also runs great on my xbox one x. I have a gaming PC but I hate having to fix most games I have on PC before i can play. My rig is outdated though.

I am honestly not being a sick here, but you may need to be sure your TV is hooked up properly. If it is, you may need to visit an optometrist. When I got my new glasses it made a world of difference. Didn't realize how bad my old ones were.

Dude, you should be able to tell the difference by color alone. The vibrancy of 4K vs a relatively dull 1080i. I don't know if that was hyperbole, or if you just really do need your vision corrected.

I'm a fan of the series and preordered this a long time ago (Xbox One X). Too bad i'm hearing bad things about the game. Guess i'm gonna wait for at least 5-6 patches before i give it proper gaming time.

Alyhough i read that the Pc version is the worst of the three? I have the feeling that Nvidia was doing a hell of a job when the deal with gameworks/ubisoft was active. Now that ended everything went south for the series.

Yeah, the combat looks a bit... iffy. I have liked the Assassins Creed games, but I HATE that it's changed so much since the first game. Or even the Ezio series. It's not "Assassin's" no more. Assassin's aren't one man armies - they are stealthy, they are quiet, they are cunning and deliberate.. Sigh.

I wish these recent games were under a different title and kept the games like AC1..

At this point it's not even an AC game anymore after Origins they have completely gone in a different direction oddly enough why not just make a new Ip instead of milking the AC name. Ubisoft makes ok games but they tend to milk a formula to the ground. Skipping Odyssey for now and waiting until it's on sale.

Yes it's new to the series but not new we've see this before some of it in origins and some of it in Black Flag. Like I said it's cool but more of the same. It's the same feeling I have about the Far Cry series, they don't have to reinvent the wheel but some of their games could use a breather. Origins benefited by just giving it an extra year they should rotate their games because they are fun for what they are but it get's repetitive and I feel like I can skip their games because I have played them before. The only game I'm really looking forward to from Ubisoft is Beyond Good and Evil surprisingly it's an Ip that has been dormant for a very long time I don't think that's a coincidence.

at least on consoles AC works, while PC version is always in some kind of SERIOUS problems, stuttering, crashes etc.. also it requires very powerful PC etc.... for $250 console I am amazed how good it plays.

Why is it? It looks like the exact same repetitive gameplay as we've had in all the main entries except they've brought back a shit load of naval exploration which is something I've never liked. It's the reason I didn't finish black flag and its the reason I won't finish this. Why would I pay for a game I think looks boring and won't finish?

Would be nice if they added a patch later on that supports some ray tracing, just like BF5 (PC) of course. So far RTX is just a nice paper weight and not even worth the asking price. Should have been $600.00 for a RTX 2080 not the $800+ it's going for.
