Tom Chick - "Previously, Undead Labs’ approach to State of Decay has been to embrace what makes it unique, to double-down on the idea of open-world resource management and community survival, with zombies, vehicles, and a vivid sense of place. It stands apart from Dead Rising, Left 4 Dead, Resident Evil, 7 Days to Die, and anything else with zombies. But Daybreak feels like it was made by someone who has no clue what makes State of Decay special. This $10 DLC has no interest in standing apart, much less participating in State of Decay’s unique identity. Instead, it plays like a weak attempt to pander to people who aren’t playing State of Decay, leaving the rest of us to wonder what happened."
Travis of Capsule Computers writes:
"While the original State of Decay broke some new ground as far as zombie survival goes, the sequel added a bit more to the formula while falling short in a number of other areas where its predecessor succeeded. One thing that State of Decay 2 managed to add fairly successfully was a multiplayer element and now Undead Labs has released a piece of DLC centered around this multiplayer experience in the form of the Daybreak Pack. Bringing with it a new game mode, a number of new weapons, and some minor bonuses to the core game, is this DLC worth your time?"
XBA says: If you've been wanting a Horde mode for State of Decay 2, look no further.
Carlos writes: "Daybreak is nothing like the DLC we saw arrive for the first State of Decay. It’s not an additional expansive map, it doesn’t bring an exciting new story and it doesn’t add any additional characters and it doesn’t maintain much of that core gameplay experience we got from the main game. Instead what we have is something that seems to be all too common in zombie-based games nowadays; a horde mode."
And here comes the clickbait again.
- 6/10 for Uncharted 2
- 4/10 for Uncharted 3
- 2/10 for Halo 4
- 6/10 for Forza Horizon
- 4/10 for Starcraft 2
- 4/10 for Infamous: Second Son
RIDICULOUS!
Btw: 10/10 for State of Decay 2 and now the DLC gets 1/10. This just shows how these guys try to get attention.
