State of Decay's Day Break DLC is fun but still missing that little something something.
Travis of Capsule Computers writes:
"While the original State of Decay broke some new ground as far as zombie survival goes, the sequel added a bit more to the formula while falling short in a number of other areas where its predecessor succeeded. One thing that State of Decay 2 managed to add fairly successfully was a multiplayer element and now Undead Labs has released a piece of DLC centered around this multiplayer experience in the form of the Daybreak Pack. Bringing with it a new game mode, a number of new weapons, and some minor bonuses to the core game, is this DLC worth your time?"
XBA says: If you've been wanting a Horde mode for State of Decay 2, look no further.
Carlos writes: "Daybreak is nothing like the DLC we saw arrive for the first State of Decay. It’s not an additional expansive map, it doesn’t bring an exciting new story and it doesn’t add any additional characters and it doesn’t maintain much of that core gameplay experience we got from the main game. Instead what we have is something that seems to be all too common in zombie-based games nowadays; a horde mode."
