Detroit: Become Human is a perfect example of how to mishandle science fiction. It steps into the near future, attempts to utilise parallels or allegories to promote messages, and then pulls its punches the moment it might have something to say. As a result, you are left with a beautiful game with good ideas, but plays things far too safe to stand out.
Detroit: Become Human - Tokyo Stories, a new comic inspired by the 2018 universe created by Quantic Dream. This first volume, finally translated into English by publisher Yen Press, follows the story of Reina – an android idol who’s attracted fame and helped change the public’s perception of robots.
Elon Musk and Tesla have unveiled the Tesla Optimus robot, and just like that, we're one stop closer to Detroit: Become Human.
...this has got to be a joke, the thing looks like it was put together by me when comparing it to something from Boston Dynamics from 20 years ago. They might make good Halloween decorations though as they move more like an animatronic from Spirit Halloween
Is N4G a place to promote a conman now?
Detroit: Become Human has officially sold over 10 million copies, making it the second most popular choice-and-consequence game after The Witcher 3, which sold over 50 million copies.
"making it the second most popular choice-and-consequence game after The Witcher 3"
Stupidest line I have heard in a long time from a gaming article.
A four? Come on now...
What? The ending I got, and the story I played were phenomenal. I've talked to friends who had vastly different endings, and they've loved it as well. The only complaint I had, was the some times clunky camera when walking through tight corridors, but never once did I feel like I was just playing to beat it.
Crap Gamer, the biggest Xbox fanboy ever even gave this game a 9 out of 10. I'm telling you the game is really really solid. I just can't take a review like this seriously.
This makes the 79 Metacritic even more impressive. There are obviously many members of the media who have issues with David Cage and QD. It's sad that they let this influence their score of the game. I've seen a number of 4/10's, which is absolutely ridiculous and obviously not legitimate. The production value, visuals, and voice acting alone warrant a higher score.
Yeah not only is the gameplay absolutely barebones, the story itself is nothing special.
It's another David Cage shovelware.
