From Kotaku: "Last week, Quantic Dream founder and CEO David Cage flew to New York City to show demos of his dramatic new PS4 game, Detroit: Become Human, to press. In his home city of Paris, meanwhile, a different type of drama was unfolding: French journalists were defending themselves against Cage’s legal charges."
Quantic Dream has sent Gamereactor a press release stating that Detroit: Become Human now has sold more than 2,5 million copies on PC, making it surpass 8 million across all platforms.
That's great. Quantic Dream took everything they learned from their past games and built the most refined, coherent and interesting game and story yet. I even bought it on both PS4 and PC.

PSU writes: "Detroit: Become Human has surpassed 6.5 million units sold, between both PS4 and PC, after hitting the six million mark last July."
Nice. This is a must play and by far the best of QD’s titles (although I have huge love for Heavy Rain).
To this day, I am still very surprised that Sony did not buy Quantic. Especially after the HR, Beyond and Detroit era. Perhaps they tried but weren’t successful.
And now they’re off making multi-plats. Interested to see how their new title is.
It's freaking good that they are fighting back with all the nasty journalists out there. They have nothing else to do but ruined somebody's else reputation.
'this is the first incident of a video game studio taking legal action against the press for negative reporting'
Nope its not for 'negative reporting' its for smear campaign!
Whatever happened to "innocent until proven guilty"? The media, and especially the Games media are absolutely disgraceful when it comes to this stuff. The slightest accusation against a person of company and every one reaches for their pitchforks because the accusation must be true. The same thing happened with Warhorse studio's with accusations of racism just because they recreated historical 15th century bohemia in Kingdom Come, and didn't put any people of colour in it. I hope Quantic Dream win the case, journalists need to stop throwing people under the bus just to create controversy for clicks and hits, it ruins peoples lives. Don't get me wrong, I am in no way condoning racism or sexist behaviour. However the process of ascertaining intent in relation to circumstance has to remain sacrosanct. In other words, people must be considered to be innocent until they can be proven guilty by the correct processes, and not by media sensationalism and click bait headlines.
