I recently vacationed through the south, and was floored by how EVERY souvenir shop was selling confederate memorabilia under the guise of standing for "rebellion". It was ridiculous. The statue you're referencing was placed as a memorial to a soldier who fought to maintain slavery. It is no different than a state deciding to erect a statue of Adolph Hitler or a prominent member of the Hutu government. The fact that people came to push against the removal of this statue proves that this is not a historical issue. Racism is a modern issue. And states should no longer fly its flag.

(If they would like to erect a statue of General Lee getting beat down by a group of whites and blacks beneath the American Flag, that would be a wonderful way to remember history.)

The Witcher 3 sex scenes did not leave much to the imagination and IMHO they were surprisingly tasteful. In Australia, the game was rated R18+ when it was released in May 2015 although if the game had been released a year earlier it would have stood a good chance of getting banned.

You can think America for fear in alcohol, nudity, and anything remotely against religious standards. A lot of what America doesn't like is due to the bible belt community. There isn't a "need" for a lot of things. But here's the thing. Nudity is a real thing and it exists in real life. Just like the stigma that gamers were all no life losers back when the industry started, nudity in US society carries a stigma that it somehow is offensive and harmful, even though being naked is one of the few things that we do all have in common. As much as some try to push back against violence in games, it's allowed, and it's a losing battle for them. But oh no that girl's nipple is showing! I don't care nudity in games in general, developers do whatever they want, even for online games in which overused nudity might attract 12 years old boys yelling at sex things they have no idea about,, I just avoid this game and move on to others. I will say this, I never felt these half-assed nudity/sex contents in video games add anything so meaningful to the gameplay, so I just don't care.

What gets me with Conan is that there are more far worse off things that are more likely to cause problems than nudity. Like the fact worshiping one God deems it ok to go and is recommended you try cannibalism. There is also the fact that the game pushes slavery in your face which was abolished God knows how long ago, yet it has always been a touchy subject and not surprising since history of slavery and how wrong it was, but we can't have nudity.

I also find it stupid compared to many other games that have far more crazy things going on within games. Take saints row games for instance or dead rising with sex toys and dildo guns or sadist masochist and dungeon experiences played out within those games.

Yeah it's all utter stupid and gone over the top now, I should be able to judge for myself whether I want it in the game I'm playing or not, not have anyone tell me I can't.
