There are a lot of different applications that people use in conjunction with games on PC, but Destiny 2 appears to restrict some of them.
In a world where Gambit thrived, Destiny 2’s seasons, storylines, and even its endgame might’ve revolved around PvEvP as a core foundation.
Destiny already has the pretty hyper 'raid' fixation and then they added legendary raid dungeons. Hyperfixating in PvEvP wouldn't work as well because you need a lot more than 2% of the userbase to keep that going unlike raids that are propped up by streamers who make running them their whole job. Most players don't play all the raids let alone run them over and over. And most who play PvP don't want structured PvE elements.
Destiny 2's Episode Heresy has done a lot of things right, but players have noticed an odd change that makes the endgame harder.
Destiny 2's Heresy is about to be released, and it's already lacking an important part of new seasons and Episodes.
I understand why, certain cheats use similar d3d hooking methods.
For good reason to stop cheaters. Stop trying to make it sound bad.
Good move on Bungies part. Very excited for the pc version.
That's good, it cuts down on the cheating people tend to do on PC. D2 comes out October 24th for PC not Sept 6th.
this will fail because 1 what's the most watch games again oh it's all PC games dota PUBG and LOL star craft now tell me where on the list of the game do you think destiny 1 is and where do you see destiny 2 being? and yeah I would love to see then stopping me from using mouse and keyboard on the console.
window/display capture will work just fine. Could also try running an hdmi splitter from source -> splitter -> capcard if you need to use capture device. But seeing as how the youtube/twitch communities are only a small part of the overall player base i can see why something would need to be implemented to prevent certain cheat mechanics from abusing in-game hooks. for example, you could have program reading you frames, and determine when invincibility frames occur so they can be abused in a way to gain some advantage.
