Onemorelevel.org

When Christmas 1998 was around the corner I was excited. I knew I was going to get Banjo-Kazooie for a Christmas present – in fact I knew. I knew because weeks before Christmas Eve I had snea…

This game was hyped so hard yet it only turned out to be a somewhat decent game with a similar critical reception to Snake Pass

I actually loved this game very much it's like the nah sayers expected it to be a literal banjo kazooie sequel though there is one level that's casino themed where i am having a problem where i got every coin and have done every mission and it is still saying i am missing a pagie which i am totally confused cause i have explored the level multiple times to find where i can get the pagie and coins and so far it looks like i have every coin and pagie still yet says i'm missing one.

What a fail, BIODEAD you did there with this news.

You made a news from a review which is old, and focusing on bad camera in the game, when few days AFTER the review, Playtonic released huge update fixing/changing many things people complained about... yes. Including the camera.

Personally I had spent thousands of hours in platform games and I didn't have any problems neither with steering or with camera, but apparently people struggle nowadays when they are allowed to move the camera as they wish. But now it's improved so this game objective score should be good for consoles and very good for PCs (60 or even 120fps, 3D Vision support, this makes a big difference cause it makes the main feature of the game - fun from exploring worlds, much more enjoyable.

RonsonPL2840d ago

According to who? Did people who say it's still bad even played games from this genre before? Like J&D and R&C series for example? I don't want to be mean, I seriously cannot understand how can anyone complain about it so much, when at any given time, you can steer the camera yourself, which is easy and was like this since decades.

Why is this game hated so?

At the rate in which we have been getting them, and the selections such as TLOU and Horizon and other similarly unnecessary remasters, no.

In terms of reintroducing classics and making them available again at a reasonable price where as previously they were locked behind ridiculously priced physical copies, yes.

agree with the Horizon but TLOU - I've never played it and the remaster it's quite impressive graphically so for someone who never played the original game it's a treat to enjoy such quality!

There a plenty of gamers who switch platforms and so I guess the remasters are meant for those

There is a new crop of gamers every generation that didn’t play the originals and some of us older games want remasters of older games to play them on current hardware. Overall I say yes it is good. Nobody is forced to buy them.
They can also gauge interest for older IP with remasters and it could lead to a new game in the series. Remasters aren’t for everyone but no game is anyway

Chances are their parents did... and may still have them. That's how I introduced my kids to gaming. They played what I had and worked their way up. They learn to appreciate them better that way.

I don't have an issue if they don't take away from developing new games. It's always nice to revisit a game you loved in the past with extra shine

gold_drake208d ago

remasters of older games absolutely.

but i dont see how a 4 year old game needs a ... Remaster. a upgrade update should do the trick

bjt i guess for newer players its a good option.
