Why I'm So Disappointed by Vampyr

When Vampyr was first announced, it sounded like a dramatic tale grounded in reality, much like Dontnod's other game, Life is Strange. What happened?

This looks to be a mix of their other games with a much darker tone: Life is Strange and Remember Me.

From my understanding, the choices you make in the game seem to have a more dramatic impact on the NPCs within the game. Those choices can also play a role in your character's development and interaction with the world around him. So for me I'm all for that experience. Lastly the whole grounded in reality statement sounds a little funny when describing another game about time traveling powers.

So, basically, you saw Dontnod was making a game that was very clearly absolutely nothing like Life is Strange, but because you like Life is Strange you thought it was going to be exactly like Life is Strange, and now that it's not you're disappointed.

I rather think it looks good. I like the game play elements. Though I just want another Legacy of Kain game to come out with Simon Templeman voicing Kain in Next Gen Glory.

Doesn't this game have combat? I hope it does . Ok looked into it more it looks good to me I am not looking or expecting anything like Life is Strange with this game. Life is Strange got a lot of hype and the first chapter was really slow to me but got better but it's basically a story game and walking simulator which is fine but It's not what I want with this game and I am happy they went a different direction

Well from the start Vampyr was never meant to be like LiS and the devs made it very clear, I don't know why you didn't see this coming.
