Well they aren't wrong, I don't want to play the old clunky PS2 version. It was a phenomenal game and I would like to replay it, but I won't because the nostalgia glasses just don't hold it up once you start playing. A remake with modern graphics and controls is an entirely different story.

100% agree on controls. I have tried to get in on this one but the controls simply break the immersion every time. If they update not just the look, but the feel and the control, 1000% in.

Sony was probably trying to figure out a way to make back the money lost on The Last Guardians 9 year devolpement time and decided to make them remake the same game for the third time (original, HD Remake, PS4 remake) so they could pump it out as fast as possible and try to make some money back

I like the original, it was very ambitious and then the HD remaster addressed some of the originals issues and was very well done. I'll still get this version but it is rather telling how Sony downplayed older games only to release a remake. I guess we can look forward to a remake (or remaster) of last guardian on the PS5 / PS5 Ultra....?

That's actually a good question that you can actually ask Microsoft!Because besides re-releasing a game that they'll take $10 off at most, they'll also add a generous slathering of microtransactions in it to boot! So in all actuality gamers end up paying 2 to 3 times more for the game itself.

I disagree, I think PSNow has the makings to be THE killer app for PS4.

PS has some of the best games in the last two generations. Imagine having that whole catalog available at a reasonable price.

Imagine if Sony had a price structure similar to Netflix's streaming service. They need to have a 6 month to a year price structure for unlimited streaming of every game at a decent price.

Then they need to push the service and bring it to the forefront of the consoles UI. Get the word out there and tell everyone the benefits of having not only PS4 games to play but a huge back catalog of great games from PS1, PS2 and PS3 games.

How hard is it for a consumer to pick up a controller? They purchased a TV they could easily buy a controller. Or maybe Sony can offer some kind of deal where a controller comes with every TV that has their service.

No. The finished product always had those 16 iconic colossi, don't know why it should change with the remake. They can't simply add further colossi to the game, it would destroy the authenticity of the original. Graphical and technical overhauls are the only thing they can do ...

I went back and did some research, there were 48 colossi originally planed for the game. Later on in production that number quickly went down to 24.. Due to limitations of the hardware, the developers could only fit 16.... The world was actually supposed to be larger too.. By that point they were arleady squeezing every ounce out of the ps2 though.. Would be nice to see a proper sequel with 48 colossi

I'm very excited for this, but I probably wont pay full price (i.e. 60$) for this unless I see a lot of extra content. Sony typically has pretty good price structures for games like this though. Ratchet and Clank was only 40$ I believe, I'm thinking the same for this.
