So this game should automatically port over to Xbox one ! That's the point of the anywhere program and window 10 on Xbox one

i3eyond the Circle3012d ago

It's actually possible but since it's not on the W10 Store it won't be. In fact I believe moving forward tho the libraries available on w10 store will be available for Xbox One.

Xbox execs have been in talks with Valve about steam (possible partnership?) about how to improve their platform.

In short Xbox may become the most powerful and versatile console on the market with bringing certain PC games to the UWP... which is another reason why some of your replies sound almost hostile.

Razzer3012d ago (Edited 3012d ago )

Steam? What are you even talking about? This is Blizzard and StarCraft. Nothing to do with Steam.

You are just making shit up.

It's not available yet. It's just the PTR. The actual full game is not downloadable yet.

MasterCornholio3012d ago

True but you can still play with bots and go through the campaign.

PurpHerbison3012d ago

You can play against people too. The lobbies are packed right now.

Was aware the iconic Starcaft IP was jumping to South Korea ....

jznrpg90d ago

Weird MS is letting go of a good IP. I don’t mind it but hopefully the best dev wins and I’m not sure who that is outbid those.

Sonyslave390d ago (Edited 90d ago )

What they are bidding for are exclusive rights to develop the IP. Microsoft/blizzard is essentially licensing it out to the highest bidder, not selling the IP.

I wonder if we'll see Starcraft Ghost come out of this. And if we do, I wonder if it'll be a free-to-play gacha game.

goken90d ago (Edited 90d ago )

Given the potential developers, looks inevitable there will be free to play gacha versions. But given south korea’s love for starcraft there would be one that is inline with starcraft 1&2.
Might want to expect some sort of backdoor cheat that only south koreans know of lol 🤣

Profchaos89d ago

Nah that's long since dead and gone it's only good is a leaked Dev build

It Seems Pretty Clear Why StarCraft 3 is Not a Thing Yet

Even though fans have been clamoring for a StarCraft 3 for years now, it seems like Blizzard really has no reason to spend time making one.

They sort of ran the story as far as it could go.

Also, it seems like blizzard is more busy with mediocrity at this point in time.

Jingsing589d ago

The problem with Blizzard is they have franchises that don't need sequels. People are happy playing the games that they previously made. What they need is new games, none of this business of trying to transport the old audience into a new version of an old game which only ends up nickle and dime'ing users.
