Capcom Could Be Working on a Code: Veronica Remaster

According to a listing posted by the German videogame ratings board (USK) Resident Evil – Code: Veronica may be getting a current gen port.

I have to be honest. Code : Veronica is most underrated RE game ever. Glad to see this game get a remastered.

Yeah loved it on Dreamcast. With 2 coming as well gonna be amazing. All Resi's under one roof... 3 will no doubt get same treatment... not getting 4 again tho. Plenty of Resi fun on PS4 tho. The classics 👍🏻🙌

I know it would never ever happen because obviously...more money BUT I would have loved to see them do a Resident Evil 2 remake which adds Resident Evil 3 aswell since they are both set in Raccoon City while a Resident Evil 3 remake would be Code Veronica

Resident Evil entries will be ported to basically anything that can display an image at this point.

RE6 fails to meet sales expectations, Capcom announces an HD Revelations port soon after. RE7 misses its sales target, Capcom announces an 8th Gen Revelations port along with potentially a CV port weeks later.

Capcom remade Resident Evil in 2002 shortly after they ported Resident Evil 2 and 3 to the GameCube as well as code Veronica they also Ported code Veronica to the PlayStation 2 and then ported Resident Evil 4 to the PlayStation 2 during the PlayStation 3 360 generation Capcom ported Resident Evil 1 2 3 code Veronica on to the PlayStation Network they would later go on to Port Resident Evil 4.

The list goes on so I'm not sure what you're trying to allude to with this company actually has a history of porting their games to fund their other endeavors have you not noticed that even with porting games they were still making and continuing the series? I mean going off of your stupid assumption these guys probably should have stopped making games in 2002 when they remade the first Resident Evil.

These ports are not happening from the result of anything other than the company looking to make money, so why on Earth would they not make money simply because something like Resident Evil 7 sold really well? What does that actually have to do with Revelations getting ported? So they would deny making more money if Resident Evil 7 sold? Is this the stupid logic you're running with?

Loved this on my beloved dreamcast but personally hoping for a modern day control scheme as an option. Embarrassingly As I'm aging I'm not as mentally flexible as I used to be and struggle going back to older games with there one analog stick controls.

They are. I doubt that this one will be a big thing, it's probably a port of the 2011 enhanced re-release for ps3/360.

That depends on who you mean by "they"

multiple teams work at Capcom in the same teams that actually work on remasters actually do not create games from the ground up, being a remaster we don't even know what studio is even doing the transition job for all we know Capcom outsourced it to a completely different team , Resident Evil 2 is being actually remade by a team owned by capcom so you're talking about two different things that are actually irrelevant to each other.

You might be confusing publisher with developer.

Unless you really believe that other ocean is the creator of Street Fighter.....

I hope they recreate the scene where you're on the freight plane fighting the Tyrant like monster and you have to wait for the button on the side wall to turn green to launch him off the plane, but since there's fixed views you actually can't see where the monster is actually coming from and when you move to switch the camera angle you end up in front of the Tyrant and he instantly slaughters you.

I launched my dreamcast controller into orbit so many times during that boss fight.
