What The Elder Scrolls 6 Can Learn From Horizon: Zero Dawn

Gamingbolt writes: "As such, we feel like Horizon: Zero Dawn has done a lot for the open world RPG genre. It is, admittedly, an overcrowded genre, and Horizon is more of a jack of all trades, master of none type of game, but their is much that games in the future can learn from the masterful adventure. Yes, even open world RPG megaton The Elder Scrolls. For years, games have been chasing the Skyrim template, attempting to follow in the game’s footsteps, but we feel that the inevitable Elder Scrolls 6 would stand to learn a thing or two from Horizon: Zero Dawn."

I would say, the combat is definitely something that future games should learn from Horizon

No thanks, I prefer they go back to morrowind stat based combat instead of the crap theyre currently using. And if they continued down the path to horizon combat then Elder scrolls would be pretty dead. Might as well call it a different name.

I am not talking about the combat being Horizon-esque. But perfecting the combat shuld feel rewarding, unlike Skyrim. I still prefer the stat based progressiob, but Skyrim simply didn't cut it when it came to fleshed out combat. And yeah, going back to Oblivion/Morrowind combat will be good

Horizon has perhaps the best third-person gameplay in gaming. The motion animations are so fluid and immediate. It's so natural to move the character. Maybe this is why you get addict to just running around doing nothing but this lol

Bethesda is a garbage tier developer. It's not a mater of learning from GG, it is a lack of ability to do so.

I'm tired of fetch quest in Fallout 4.

The Elder Scrolls 6 developer must update its game engine to current specs. Moreover, they should not rush the release of the game to minimize software bugs and glitches.

Who still holds The Elder Scrolls as the pinnacle of open world RPGs anymore

It will come out in another 1000-2000 days or so. I’d rather they remake Morrowind. After they added quest arrows, sprint button, making stats lesser and the big nerfs to spells Elder Scrolls has been too simplified. They could change that with ES6 but I don’t have much faith in modern Bethesda. I would love to be wrong
