What the hell is all that about? Please explain!

Erik73573024d ago

Well let's see,

You have some scummy company who sees a newly launched device with few games to buy ( like any system at launch). What you gonna do? Charge out the ass for it and make $$$$

S2Killinit3024d ago (Edited 3024d ago )

Lol ok ok i see what you did there.

Although im not sure. Is it really Nintendo doing it? I really doubt it. But then im just guessing.

XisThatKid3024d ago

Welp, been waiting for this since the PS4 announcement. I can't wait.

SlappingOysters3024d ago

Nah Nintendo would not want this look - it needs to encourage third party support. Has to be publisher. Super stupid when people have Alts like Zelda and Yooka-laylee to consider

rainslacker3023d ago (Edited 3023d ago )

Or a new system with a limited user base which means it won't sell as much, so in order to cover development costs to port, they charge more.

Maybe the fact that cards do cost more than optical media as well.

It is ok, the system is so broke you'll never get to play it anyway.

PhoenixUp3024d ago

Wtf? Does this have to do with the use of cartridges

Guyfamily9993024d ago

It's most likely a combo of two things: switch has a different architecture than PS4 and X1 so it's more expensive to port, and they're price gouging since the system doesn't have many games out and they know they can. If you're thirsty you'll pay more for water.

ninsigma3024d ago

If it does, that doesn't really bode well for bigger behind parties. No one is gonna buy those games if better versions are cheaper elsewhere.

OtakuDJK1NG-Rory3024d ago

I am guessing one reason could be the fact that they have to outsource to Tantalus to port it and pay them as well but why would they want to increase the price. It would be harder to make money back.

The director of the original Silent Hill: “I look forward to seeing bold interpretations.”

Keiichiro Toyama—the creator and original director of the 1999 Silent Hill—shared his personal thoughts on the recently announced remake by Konami, reflecting on what the project means to him after more than two decades:
“I felt something similar when the game was adapted into a movie. It deeply moved me to see the names of the characters and locations I had created come to life visually, even though I wasn’t directly involved. That wouldn’t have been possible without the continued support of the fans and the dedication of the developers who’ve kept the series alive.
I’m really looking forward to seeing how the remake evolves this time. With the advanced technology we now have, I’m sure I’ll be surprised by how the game is reimagined. Since the original was built for the first PlayStation, there will naturally be challenges—like the camera and controls—but I’m eager to see bold and creative solutions to those elements.”

Haha Not only is bold and creatively not what the industry wants, it’s not what most people want.

They want to get scammed and pay twice for a thing they already own.

Nightcrawler894h ago

Hope they use his vision in the game

Inverno3h ago

Was the SH2 remake even bold? Or was it more or less just a 1 to 1 over the shoulder remake?

Pedrof3h ago

I wouldn't hold my breath on "bold".
