NieR: Automata is an absolute masterpiece from beginning to end (or ends, to be a bit more accurate). Even for what was the most anticipated game of the year for many, we still didn’t expect to be blown away that much, but this was an absolute thrill ride in every area, from just running through a gorgeous wrecked city with wild boars roaming around to surfing down sand dunes in a desert in a cool little touch to fighting off an army of twenty-some robots vomiting corrosive material with some of the finest combat in recent video game history (oh, not to mention the actual thrill ride at one point).
The PS4 suffers from no shortage of great RPGs. From expansive open world ventures to fully realized fantasy offerings, there's a lot to try.
NieR: Automata has received a surprise update, version 1.07, on the PS4, which appears to have resolved a major bug that has long troubled the game.
thats interesting so many years later. never encountered any crashes in my multiple playthroughs but great nonetheless for those affected.
That's excellent news that crashing happened to me at least 50 times while playing the game a few months ago before playing Stellar Blade almost a game ending bug for some people because you have to pass that area to beat the game and it just kept happening
Stellar Blade's creative director, Hyung Tae Kim, has also claimed that the game is deeply inspired by Nier: Automata.
I feel like Yoko is downgrading Automata because he has expressed multiple times he'd like to revisit the universe, but Squenix hasn't been keen about it. We know he loves 2B and would love to take her out for another spin, so maybe this is how he gets the company to think about it.
I get he's giving them some credit, but i strongly disagree based on the demo. I honestly don't think any aspect of it feels good, it's not bad, it's just kinda ok but definitely a little jank. Also the souls like formula it is adopting does not help it imo. I was looking forward to this for years, now im just kinda let down honestly 🫤
Man exputer can you stop putting words like that after someone's name, i read Yoko Taro Passes and just went blank
(From the demo) Stellar has better direction in terms of stage layout if you like that ninja gaiden type feel. Nier is more polished by far.
