First of all there's nothing wrong with having an opinion, but this site(playstationlifestyle.net) is nothing but a PS hating cesspool. I've commented before on that site and was basically attacked for having a favorable opinion as I was commenting on someone's negative post. It apparently offended someone pretty bad as I was responded to by not 1 but 2 mods. I seriously can't understand how you call yourself a PS based site yet you continuously look at the glass half empty! I'd be willing to bet it's nothing more than than some Xbox lovers who do it for kicks.

mikeslemonade3051d ago

It's wrong because it's not a 87. When Dark Souls 3 is a 88 how is this game a 87. You trying to tell me that this game is within 1 point of DS3. Nope. And I'm playing it right now. Feels like a 84.

sullynathan3051d ago

Judging games by numbers is useless

guyman3051d ago

Meanwhile, people who actually played the game have overwhelmingly enjoyed it, hence it's 87 score and yes, a lot can be read by numbers but i guess when it's a ps4 exclusive, it's overrated right??? It's funny how this is receiving so much hate from people who don't own ps4's. I guess desperate trolls will just be desperate. Keep complaining, while this game let's its quality do the talking.

Thank you team ninja for this gem

OB1Biker3051d ago

'its not 87, it feels like 84 '
hahaha what?
Its sad what some gamers appreciation of games has become.
Its high times reviews evolve with our modern age and give up scores. The only reason now is for clicks.

rainslacker3051d ago

They used to be pretty decent as a PS site. Even had a few good articles which looked at the good and bad of lots of different things. I don't know what happened, but about all they do now is talk sh*t about anything PS.

Aenea3051d ago

I've indeed also noticed that they tend to write articles focussing on the negatives. It surprised me a couple of times after reading the summary and title that it's a PlayStation website!

I think they need either some therapy or some pills 🙂

Aenea3051d ago

@Monolith

And what does this have to do with my comment or the topic at hand?

Saigon3051d ago

Maybe Sony doesn't support the site. That would be the only reason why this site seems to be hurt PS'ers. OR the issue is that they need more hits, so they raise the negative flag hoping to bring in a negative crowd as well as more hits.

OB1Biker3051d ago (Edited 3051d ago )

Agreed about PSLS I also used to comment over there a few years ago and never went back.
OT I dont know why theres always need to be 'everything wrong with x game' unless its a satire for the laugh I dont see the point. Of course that sort of thing brings clicks I suppose.

well, to be honest no game is perfect but when a game is solid there's no point making an entire story about what 'you' feel is wrong with it. to each their own and no game will completely satisfy every single player. Instead of going against the grain why not point out what is good. you know, something helpful to people not something petty.

sullynathan3051d ago

They did a review, correct? And they gave the game a 7.5 which means they think it was mostly good, so you can check there to see what they think is positive.

"Everything wrong with" is a show they do on their YouTube channel.

freshslicepizza3051d ago

once again some of you are being overly sensitive. the game is getting great reviews but this site gave it a 7.5 which is below the averge by about 1 point.

after seing the video the only valid thing that could be of a concern is the multiple dying, which is fine for these types of games that relish in being hard like the souls games. but when they make you go through a long checkpoint to get to the boss fight that can be overly aggrevating. i get it, years ago games like mega man and battletoads did this as well but it still doesn't help make it fun for some.

guyman3051d ago

If you actually played Nioh you would know the distance between shrines and bosses is fair and not unforgiving unlike in dark souls.

Liqu1d3051d ago

Moldybread calling others sensitive lol.

sullynathan3051d ago

The Co op and graphics are two points that made sense from the video. The others didn't mean anything, but character creation wouldn't make sense for the main character.

Too bad N4G members will get butthurt that a Playstation site wants to focus on Playstation games while at least being a bit critical.

DragonDDark3051d ago

I'm surprised people here didn't follow the series... it was posted a lot here before.

sullynathan3051d ago (Edited 3051d ago )

They would be butthurt because its a playstation site not completely sucking off a playstation game. I don't follow the series either but I did watch this one video on NiOh and went to their channel to see more and they have 30+ videos about "everything wrong with", most being multiplatfom titles but if you looked at the oldest comment on this page, you'd think playstation life style was a site that hated playstation exclusives.

The fact that those comments aren't marked as inappropriate but others on other videos are.

Summons753051d ago

People on this site tend not to care until they can either hate something without any actual knowledge or experience on the topic or it's something that goes against their diehard love for a system for a very solidly average game that is a ripoff of a better game. I'm enjoying Nioh but it's not the second coming of christ like most fanboys are making it out to be, it's just okay.

DeadlyOreo3051d ago

Summons

That's because you're a Microsoft fanboy and you haven't even played the game 😂 how sad.

The Nioh franchise has sold over 6 million copies worldwide

Team Ninja: "The Nioh franchise has sold over 6 million copies worldwide now!"

FallenAngel19841380d ago

At 6 million NiOh is on the cusp of nearly outselling Ninja Gaiden’s 6.8 million with just only 2 titles under its belt

This could mean Team Ninja may see no reason to return to producing new NG games

CaptainHenry9161379d ago

But what if a new Ninja Gaiden sells well?

FallenAngel19841379d ago (Edited 1379d ago )

The latest Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection had sold 240,000 units worldwide at last count

Unfortunately that may not be as high enough a number to convince Team Ninja to also commit to continuing Ninja Gaiden alongside Dead or Alive and NiOh.

And when they aren’t working on those they’re focused on licensed properties like Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order and Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin.

I wish I were wrong but that may be how Tecmo Koei sees it. Hopefully they prove me wrong and produce Ninja Gaiden 4 at some point

Yi-Long1379d ago

To be fair, does anyone still trust Team Ninja with Ninja Gaiden*?

Let’s be honest here, it was Itagaki who created Ninja Gaiden greatness, with NG1, NG Black (improved version of NG1), and Ninja Gaiden 2.

The Sigma versions of 1 & 2, done without Itagaki, while decent/good, never lived up to the originals, and NG3 was a mess.

And they half-assed the collection, so many huge fans of the series never bothered picking that up.

I’d be excited if Itagaki would announce a return to the action ninja genre. If Team Ninja would announce a NG4, I’d be skeptical.

To be fair, Team Ninja DID show they’re still capable of releasing greatness with the Nioh games, but with Ninja Gaiden, without Itagaki, they have never been able to reach the quality of NG Black again.

(* … does anyone still trust them with the DOA games, for that matter … !? )

deadfrag1379d ago (Edited 1379d ago )

Things are not seen from that stand point.Ninja Gaiden Never had a game produced for PS4 or Xbox One from the ground up.Nioh sold 6 milion because exposure and Marketing are way bigger this days than they were on PS3 and Xbox 360 generation. The Ninja Gaiden collection was never going to sell much since theres nothing new on them, this collection is actually worse to what was already available on Xbox 360 and can be play by BC on any Xbox One console.Ninja Gaiden needs a new game that shows new stuff and that gets backed in the marketing like Nioh. This collection games have already been played by anyone that likes Ninja Gaiden years ago it didnt bring nothing new to the table it was obvious that it would not sell very well.

ocelot071379d ago

That's great and it's now free on the epic game store.

FinalFantasyFanatic1379d ago

I just picked it up a couple of hours ago, it was a nice surprise to see it there.

jznrpg1379d ago

Well made games glad they did well .

Brazz1379d ago

they deserve this, Nioh is a amazing game. Hopefully they will expand and make a more ambitious game and have even more sales.

Ohh I always wanted to try Jump Force. Can get back on my fantasy of being Goku :)

northpaws1510d ago

Talking about Goku, I used to like him a lot, but he just became a selfish jerk that only want to fight and left his family behind to rot lol, at least we see Vegeta spent some time with family here and there lol

Teflon021509d ago

Goku's far from selfish. He's just an idiot with an addition.
Also Dragon Ball Z starts with Piccolo basically being Gohan's dad. Not sure how these things became a realization in 2021 lmao

Germaximus1510d ago

PS Now additions have been rocking for quite awhile now.

iwin861510d ago

Street Of Rage 4 is awesome. Big recommendation.

RosweeSon1509d ago

Just bought physical 😏🤷🏻‍♂️ 🤣 does look great tho.

1510d ago
LucasRuinedChildhood1510d ago

Nioh was given out on PS Plus around a year ago (most people who have PS Now also have PS Plus) and Jump Force is not particularly good. There's a big gap in quality between PS Plus and PS Now.

Teflon021509d ago

Streets of Rage is a fantastic game. Didn't know about Nioh though. I don't think I have it. Though I'd rather play the ps5 version in the future

Petebloodyonion1509d ago

Streets of Rage 4 is a must-play title if you like beat em up.
Also, not everyone has PS+ so Nioh is still a good game.
