I was today reading the 170th issue of PLAY (UK), a magazine dedicated to PlayStation. When I got to page 50, there was an interesting article about Bioshock and I really am anticipating this game, so started to have a read. Something really stuck out to me though.
Coming near the end of the article, I read this,
New to Bioshock on PS3 are separate downloadable Challenge Rooms, Which demand use of the game's plasmids to solve a series of puzzles."

Remember there past attempts at game based show's i do heck i still remember that teenage resident evil trash fire.
It's 10 years too late for a BioShock film. The world of Rapture would have been perfect for a film. It's actually a good candidate for proper utilization of 3D, for increased depth rather than bullshit popping out of the screen. It could really show off the underwater city that way. But BioShock as a brand is so irrelevant these days that a film just doesn't make sense. Especially considering it would need a big budget and top notch effects to really take advantage of the IP.
i agree on the bigger budget. all the cgi they'd need for the background.
but i think it would work better as a show. a movie would be too short to establish the story
Netflix greenlights anything, so that shows me very little faith in the project. Enough to just crap something out as they're, more and more, known to do.

If the challenges rooms are that good, then it will sell. If they are not, then it won't. If they comes as extras, then I am fine with it.
DLC is going to be last thing in my mind. Give me the game first.
Who knows? This could be EXTRA EXTRA stuff. Stop LOOKING for reason to hate on Bioshock PS3.
BioShock was going to my 1st 360 game, but as time went on i've realized; i don't need a 360 for anything.
It was one of the reasons why i was going to buy a 360 - but after all this time and wait Bioshocks a month away
