IGN: The allure of the original Dead Rising’s goofy and gratuitous zombie slaughter was the reason I bought an Xbox 360 back in 2006. Dead Rising 4 ratchets that arcadey, hack-and-slash power fantasy and self-aware satire up to new heights. Even when technical issues rear their ugly heads, that feelgood loop of wading into the horde and coming out the other side has me feeling like a bonafide badass.
Daily Video Game writes: "Today, Xbox Store has just kicked off three new digital game sales for Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One gamers that offer steep discounts on Achievement Hunter and action RPG games, as well as games for those with a $20 budget."
Over the last week, Jake has been going back to the Dead Rising 2 Off The Record remaster and has been an absolute blast. When he was 15 he first got his Xbox 360 and Dead Rising with it, it was unlike any other experience. It made him wonder though, what happened to the Dead Rising series.
Interesting timing. This retrospective was released just a few days ago: https://youtu.be/Et-cKSrWuc...
They took away the depth and charm of the game that made it fun and interesting, and made it into a generic zombie killing game.
This was the series the got me to buy an Xbox 360. The first one was so good. It still had horror elements. As it went on it became kind of a parody. Never forget getting Zombie Genecider achievement and then restarting the game to get the Mega Buster. That thing was monstrous against enemies.
The Humble Capcom Mega Bundle is out now. It features Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, Resident Evil HD, Dead Rising 4, Mega Man Legacy Collection 1, and more.
Love zombies games and the Dead Rising franchise. It's a automatic day one buy for me. Gonna take a break from Gears 4 multiplayer and enjoy this game.
The reviews are pretty much what I expected for this game, average in the 70's, and that's what's happening. Still looks like a decent game.
Damn.I know I'm getting this but my wallet is still recovering from the recent Xbox digital game sales.
Cant wait for this game.
Too many serious games these days.
Fun seems to have disapeared out the Window. Thank God this brings some fun back again.
