Watch Dogs 2 Review – The Jimquistion (No Hack Job)

Jim Sterling: "Watch Dogs 2 is a great game as a rock solid action title, but being unafraid of its own nonsense is what makes it a truly pleasurable experience."

Well..i guess Jim wasnt feeling particurarly fruitty when he wrote this...I was left indifferent of the 1sr game but the sequel seems worth getting...in 3 or 4 months...

Rock solid? Yet the online part is broken

How is it so many sites are missing this. It's not like the online part is a small part of the game, it plays a large part.

Germany73108d ago

The game is in San Francisco, of course Jim will give a high score.

UCForce3107d ago (Edited 3107d ago )

Ok, that is way too deep right there.

Chexs19903107d ago

Honestly Fox, i'm literally only buying it for the singleplayer experience, so as far as i'm concerned, the frame rate is the only thing they need to Fix :)

UCForce3107d ago

Ubisoft updated another patch and it may be fix the frame rate issues, but I'm not so sure.

-Foxtrot3107d ago

The point is they review the entire game so even if you don't play the online it's still a problem they are gliding over

If a smaller studio did this reviewers would rip them apart

Double standards

UltraNova3107d ago (Edited 3107d ago )

Fox is right. How many games in the past have we seen getting ripped to pieces because their online part didnt work as intended?

Double standards indeed. Jim dropped the ball on this one. I hope Angry Joe doesnt follow suit.

Chexs19903107d ago (Edited 3107d ago )

@Fox @Ultra
I definitely see where you guys are coming from, and I agree that the online probs should've been mentioned in detail, because i'm gonna try it out at one point. However, since i'm gonna Play through the campaign first, I believe/hope that they will get it fixed in the meanwhile :)
And AngryJoe tends to do really in-depth reviews, so unless it's coming out as a rapidfire, he'll definitely comment on the online probs as well ^^

Jim got a review copy and in his video he was playing online with no problems

The online problems probably came due to the servers crashing from gamers who bought it (were working during his review)

Should I believe him or IGN because they told this game is broken...hhmmm interesting

Errorist763107d ago

The game isn't broken, they seem to have some problems with the seemless MP though which can be fixed by turning that off. That said I wouldn't trust IGN at all if I were you. There are much better sites out there.

SoulMikeY3107d ago

Here's a thought, trust yourself. If you're not sure, rent it.

interesting because IGN just gave it a 6.5/10 I believe. I can definitely see this being a game that consumers will need to gravitate to and form their own opinion.

Dude I was absolutely loving that game till the aimless backtracking started becoming the norm and I quit 😅

badboyz09491d ago

lol I beat it 4 months ago I loved it. Old school vibes what gaming is missing.

Rebel_Scum491d ago

Honestly anyone who hasnt played this by 2024 should get on it.

Absolutely. It's a breath of fresh air. I played it so many times.

REDGUM491d ago (Edited 491d ago )

I think Cyberpunk is close in gameplay. Sure it's a futuristic setting but I find alot of similarities with the two games.
