Watch_Dogs 2 releases on PS4 (and Xbox One) tomorrow, and many are probably wondering about the differences between the game's looks on PS4 Pro and on standard PS4.

I just got my pro, and I love this part of the pro, supersampling of the game or high framerate options. Games need this so bad. It's awesome that the pro can sort this out.

I plan on buying a ps4 pro this holiday, but I'm gonna be honest, this difference is not big.
4k and 60 fps is all I care about for this game...

keep in mind bestbuy has a sony 4k hdr 55" tv + ps4 pro deal going on for 999.99 i believe. and another for a 55" toshiba 4k hdr tv for 749.99.

If i didn't already have 2 4k tvs and 2 ps4 pros i would be all in on this one lOl.

That's ridiculous right? I bought one for me and one for my wife same with the TVs. Sheesh people have a real problem on N4G man lOl.

I remember I posted my help article for people with the black screen due to the PS4 Pro HDCP handshake issue with 4k tvs and I had got like 20 downvotes almost instantaneously. when in fact my post has been copied and pasted on all gaming sites lOl. I had the black screen no hdr support issue the fix works for Samsung,LG, and Vizio tvs lOl. People just love to be salty I guess.

PS4 pro owners love to exaggerate things...
The difference for 1080p games is not huge (unless they offer 60 fps). Visually it's very similar, its the SAME EXACT GAME...

HDR, 4k, and 60 fps support is the ONLY thing that should matter if you're upgrading to a PS4 pro. Obviously the graphics don't change, this aint the PS5...

Also what console gamer is gonna sit inches from their hdtv to notice the antialising..SMH

Have you played a game on a pro with a 4k HDR TV yet? If the answer is no then you have no real idea how much better these games look and play. Bf1 looks better but also runs so much more smoother the bf1 on the og ps4.

Just watch sone 1080p videos of the last Final Fantasy 15 demo or Tomb Raider and you'll see yourself how stupid your comment was. The difference is quite substantial.

But at the end of the day even if I can just get 1080p/60fps I will be happy. Until I upgrade to a 4K TV that is.

look at the end of the day, people who get the PS4 PRO will be getting it because they have a 4ktv, and they want to utilize the much higher resolution and HDR.
Also 60 fps support is HUGE for 1080p games...
anything else is minor, and nitpicky (if you care about that microscopic shit, maybe play on a PC instead?)

Is anyone forcing you to buy a Pro? All these are launch games. Things will improve in the future when developers have more time with system. It's obvious that you don't want the system and that's fine. I have and I like and that all that counts.

To see the most difference, your going to need a 4k TV. Plain and simple. Remember, this is new to the console business. Developers now need to get used to this idea of upgraded systems and plan accordingly.

Gamers have a CHOICE. You can either buy one or not. If you don't feel like it's a bigger enough jump, then wait for the PS5. Since the difference is barely noticeable, you won't miss out on anything. I'm not going to waste any more of my time with this.

TL;DW - Ubisoft being Ubisoft and not optimizing. Needs a performance patch. High resolution should never take precedence over framerates and Sony needs to start enforcing requirements. Damn you Ubisoft!

NOthing that a quick patch can't solve. Those guys at DF are making a mountain out of a mole hill. Devels are getting used to the Pro while spending most of the time optimizing for the og consoles. Hopefully Ubisoft issues a patch rather sooner than later

60 FPS is a true indication of power. That's why so few console games have this feature. Speaking of which the Pro version of Watch Dogs 2 runs worst than the standard PS4 version. Pathetic really.
