Surely GAME could get their nuts chopped off by Sony for doing this. They are making people pay to use a Sony product which will only benefit the store. They are gaining money from something they didn't make...that doesn't sound legal.

Apparently Sony allows retailers to charge consumers by stating that "retailers run in-store activity at their own discretion."

I doubt Sony can do anything about it, I mean the company does own the hardware once it reaches their store.

It's a promotional event, just like hot sales/discounts. It's really bad one tghough and they should be ashamed of it

only if it's from the store stock. if sony gave them the demo unit, they don't own it.

At first glance it seems outrageous, but really it's no different than going to an arcade and dropping money into a game, except this is probably cheaper these days. Hopefully they at least refund your money if you buy one
