Got that PlayStation VR pre-order secured? Cool. But which PlayStation 4 console will you run it on?
Sony CEO Hiroki Totoki and CFO Lin Tao talked about the state of the PlayStation business and the strategy and targets going forward, including how they're responding to the tariffs.
Sony announced its financial results for the fiscal year 2024, and things are certainly looking up, despite a decline in PS5 sales.
If their profits fall next quarter, we'll probably see more price hikes. I can't imagine having to pay £20 a month for PlayStation Plus.
Decline in hardware sales.
Behind on lifetime sales and decline in first party sales.
Third party content and PSN came through to save the day.
Things will improve starting with the next Ghost game.
Hopefully a steady flow of first party content by end of '25

Will be interesting to see if the Pro will unlock any additional, as yet unspoken benefits of the PSVR. If you've not got a PS4 and want to get PSVR its good that you've got the options though.
I don't see much of a benefit to PS4 Pro right now. Fine if you're buying a new PS4 or your current one busts, but I won't be upgrading immediately.
The Slim's lower price is likely to attract new customers, eventually leading to more PSVR sales. I really don't think the Pro will, even if it can slightly improve the experience.

The big question is what 4K screen your going to use. Everyone is going to upgrade eventually to PS4 Pro or PS5.
90%-95% of HDTV owners, do not own a 4K tv. What is an affordable 4K tv with HDR10 feature this Black Friday is the burning question especially if your getting PS4 Pro/PSVR this November.
If I find a decent price on that HDR10 feature.........I'm probably picking it up this year.
