Watch Dogs 2 Is More Than Twice as Big as The First Game; Graphics Have Been Significantly Expanded

The world of Watch Dogs 2 is more than twice as big as the first game, according to the Senior Producer. Graphics have also been enhanced.

Bigger doesn't always means better.

I agree that bigger does not translate to better. WD did a lot of things wrong but did some good too. The story was terrible, driving was awful, none of the characters were likeable and there were too many boring side missions and nowhere near enough of the ones that were actually enjoyable. The combat and free running were pretty tight tho and I did enjoy moments of the game. I'm not really feeling the main character but I'm still going to keep my eye on this. I think Ubi get a lot of undeserved hate. The first AC was mediocre, but they listened to everyones complaints and then we got AC2 which is one of my favourite games from last gen. Maybe they'll do the same with WD and deliver what they originally intended with the first.

There is no way that can be downgraded. Not saying it was bad graphically but saying Ubisoft held back a little and the game really could look better than what they showed.

Ubisoft do not want another downgrade controversy especially with Watch Dogs franchise.

True. Just because you can hack stuff it doesn't necessarily have to mean that you dominate everything, there have to be some counters

I think this time there will be many gamers who will wait for the game to release and then decide whether to buy it based on what the consensus is rather than fall for the hype like last time.

I would prefer that the graphics have been significantly 'improved' rather than 'expanded' and the gameplay is a lot more varied and fun. Bigger is not necessarily better and this franchise has a lot to prove this time round. I do hope that Ubisoft get it right.

This is Ubisoft we're talking about. Their IPs usually sell millions. Remedy is a known company but not as well known as Ubi. Ubi can get away with murder so to speak.

Honestly, I actually looked forward to a sequel. Much like the original AC, I could see a solid base for an intriguing franchise. Aside from the driving, the other mechanics were solid. The hacking, while rudimentary, was a pretty fresh mechanic for an open world game. I even enjoyed the AR mini-games. It was the story and the protagonist that made it feel bland to me. I wasn't even as disappointed by the graphics. (I've been around long enough to not completely trust target renders that are several years removed from the actual launch) So, it's a welcome game for me. On the other hand, I completely understand why others wouldn't want it.

I'm looking forward to Watch Dogs 2. I really enjoyed the game. Provided it doesn't launch with tons of bugs. But this game had a 2 year development so I shouldn't expect this.
