Tekken 7 for PlayStation 4 Confirmed

GameSpot recently published an article in which it was assumed that the console version of Tekken 7 Fated Retribution was exclusive to PlayStation 4. The article was removed and game designer denies everything.

Same thing with Dragon Quest XI. They can only confirm it for PS4 because they aren't allowed to announce NX games until the NX itself is announced. At least that is what I'm thinking.

Yeah that was my thinking as well. Just gotta wait and see. I'm not particularly interested in the game itself, it's just strange that if it's timed why haven't the other consoles been announced?? Seems odd to me so it could possibly be that nx is the other console.

Why would it come to a platform with a zero install base? I mean...maybe if Nintendo payed for the transfer, I could sorta see it working considering the support from the east and all, but not really likely.

Actually, it makes perfect sense if it comes to NX and skips Xbox One.

They'd be ignoring a good sized install base, but I believe Japanese developers will prioritize PlayStation and Nintendo platforms to revitalize the Japanese console gaming industry. It wouldn't be skipping any regions that way and, if the handheld component of the NX is really a thing, that itself will garner some interest.

I think Nintendo is pretty serious about NX. A release on their platforms would definitely inspire some interest.

Tekken 7 has never been confirmed to be a PS4 exclusive by Bandai Namco, it's just been proagated as such by lazy 'journalists' because its the only platfrom that has been confirmed.

The original announcement of the title from Bandai Namco. Only ever said that it was coming to consoles (it doesn't even mention the PS4). Tekken Tag 2 was a WiiU launch title, it really wouldn't surprise me if Tekken 7 was for the NX.

Maybe after all they released an enhanced port of Tekken Tag 2 on Wii U plus Namco has developed 3 of Wii U's fighting games and a F2P game so Namco and Nintendo are on good terms.

Harada himself said it wasn't exclusive, but PS4 will get VR support exclusively.

SSB4 is fun but it isn't even on Melee's level. Sorry, but a watared down version of a decade+ old Fighting game that's broken thanks to overpowered DLC characters cannot compete with SFV.

SSB2 was ace in my opinion. Bought a bc wii just for that game alone. SSB3 seems almost slow in comparison.

I hope it comes to NX enhanced like TTT2 was. For now I will get it on PS4 and maybe double dip later.. Seeing how Namco has mad 3 of WiiU's 4 Fighting games there is a good chance of more support on NX.

Its not just Gamespot that announced it. Gamrant said it was confirmed as did IGN and GamesRadar. I dont see anything here thats telling me otherwise but it does not matter as long as I get to play it Im good.

I remember when this was an awesome game when it was exclusive to playstation. Not saying multiplat is a bad thing just think it went down hill since going multiplat. I didnt like 6 too much hopefully this one goes back to the good ol days

I agree. KI was fun at first but the combo system soon feels really gimmicky and dull. I guess if this somehow doesn't come to Xbox, at least Tag Tournament 2 is BC.

Eh pick up a Neo Geo AES,Saturn or Dreamcast. Those consoles to this day ruled with fighting games and nothing has come remotely close. They not only were loaded wit them but often the best versions of many games and quality ones. Even the lesser known ones like Last Bronx,Outlaws of the Lost Dynasty,Plasma Sword,Frame Gride were excellent.

The ps4 version had better include the assassin sisters, Nina & Anna. I was pissed when I saw the arcade didn't include either of them.

Edit: Seems the arcade I played hadn't been updated to the latest ver. Still.. Anna had better be there. lol
