That Genesis kit looks like it could power a nuclear submarine!

darthv723314d ago

That would be awesome just to have.

xHeavYx3314d ago

There is a WB games subsidiary near where I live and some times I get to test games for them. They have that big PS dev kit. I think it's bigger than an Xbox One.

NukaCola3314d ago

That original Xbox is sexy. I miss the days of see through consoles, I had a see though Gameboy and GBA and they were just the bees knees to me.

Player3Podcast3314d ago

I had the translucent orange N64. I loved the way it looked.

ninsigma3314d ago

I had the crystal xbox. Loved that thing.

DragoonsScaleLegends3314d ago

The only reason I got into 3DS games was because of the crystal blue 2DS. I was going to let the GBA SP be my last Nintendo portable until I saw that awesome case. Personally the only thing I hate about it is the small buttons and the lack of GBA games.

hazelamy3313d ago

yeah, it's a shame nobody makes clear cased consoles anymore.
at least, not home consoles.

If I had that Genesis dev kit and a 32x I would conquer the world! All your base are belong to us!!

Ps2 dev kit was sweet looking, amd I thought the Xbox dev kit was just a tower PC?

darthv723314d ago

I liked how it was just called TOOL on the side.

Player3Podcast3314d ago

There are different versions of the Dev Kit. The Xbox also had a tower with Xbox branded casing.

2pacalypsenow3314d ago (Edited 3314d ago )

Yeah this must of been a really early dev kit

This is what Microsoft was running Xbox 360 games on at E3 2005. Clearly the hardware wasn't ready. I took this photo myself, just before being removed from Microsofts booth. :)

If I was to build a PC, I'd want that case. It's pretty fresh.

PC_603314d ago

All games are made on PCs, they have dev kits to test the games and debugging

SkullBlade1693314d ago

Each console has had multiple dev kit models available. Only a small number of them were shown here.

Yea, the problem is that the games worth playing in VR in Microsoft's catalog do not run on Meta OS. Hands down one of the best VR experiences I've had was MS Flight Simulator, and you need a beast of a system to run it well! The one thing that could push Meta headsets is an "official" release of Minecraft VR. You had to do some workarounds before to get it running in VR (which is an amazing experience, I don't actually play the game flat), but they just removed all VR support for the game after an update at the end of March. Bring it back with an official, easy to use Meta Quest version. I wouldn't buy an XBox branded Quest, but I'd at least like to see them do a bigger push into VR. Doubt they'd do it bc it's still so niche, and they're struggling atm and trimming the fat as it is. (But omg, would I kill for an official Forza Horizon in VR w wheel support!!)

RaiderNation5h ago

I'm not sure that a Metaquest with an Xbox logo slapped on it constitutes it being an "Xbox" headset. But whatever.

Holololenzz 2.0 Phil Edition...

darthv722h ago

Hololens is a damn cool kit... problem is price. So if there was a cheaper 2.0, I'd be down for that. I know you are trying to make a dig, that just shows you never experienced it.
