I bought mine with Halo and Forza in mind and I do love those games with a passion, However if I could now peform some sort of "quantum break" of my own, I'd go back in time and buy a ps4...
Scalebound, Bloodborne. Literally the only two reasons to own either console for me. And scalebound ain't even proven itself. It oculd turn out **** too.
I can see people will moan about Quantum breaks length, but if we look through their history I wonder what they said when that piece of **** the order came out.
The two consoles have had underwhelming releases in general. Halo 5 for me wasn't that good, just average. Kilzone shadowfall was meh, Ryse sucked, Infamous second son was a let down. The list goes on with mediocrity. And even if I had bought another PC, not much exclusives there.
Thus we are left with the multiplats. Which yet again have dominated proving the exclusive war a waste of well, everything.
basically...Whichever console you get:
Xbox live has better 'free' games right now. Than Ps+ Ps4 has a good VR system coming out soon. The majority of your time will be spent on multiplats.
Shit generation so far to be honest. Edit:
Well, not really fair to say generation...
I really liked
The witcher 3 Dying light Rocket league Fallout 4 Titanfall was okay, it simply needs..more features
Things I WILL enjoy Bloodborne(I love all souls games) Xenoblade X
I'm looking forward to Scalebound Horizon Zero dawn Dishonored 2 Crackdown 3 FFXV FF7 Remake No mans sky MGS5 was okay but a bit of a let down Uncharted, even though its more the same(Would prefer a new IP or else Last of us 2, new IP preferred because ND can do new ips and make them feel...'new')
Yup, Irishguy95 pretty much summed-up this generation perfectly. I don't have an Xbox One so can't comment on the quality of exclusives but on the PS4 yeah, it's absolute garbage aside from Bloodborne. It's completely different from last generation where the exclusives were the cream of the crop and real reasons to actually own hardware.
@Irish I agree ! I do like my XBone and I think the controller is a LOT better than Ps4's . I will probably soon trade my XB and get a PS4 so I don't miss out on exclusives. I want a PsVR as well...
I agree with Irish guy and really hope that UC, crackdown 3 and gears do something that amazes me. I'm currently checking out VR with my Samsung gear and can't find 1 game that satisfies my appetite. Games are coming to other devices as well as this one but I do feel gaming has sort of sucked lately. I'm currently only playing RB6 from time to time along with gems of wars and that's it.
@Haydothepotato. The Ps4 has some killer exclusives coming all fanboy prejudce aside. I'm a Nintendo fan. With better performing multiplats, Better exclusives an PsvR maybe it would be the best thing for me to do. The coolest thing for me to do will to get an NX on launch day .
There is a lot I like about my XB one so I might end up with a PS4 an Xbox one and NX together. Tempting but a bit OTT
Why would anyone disagree with this post. I know I'm a Sony fan but the core of me is a gamer first as it should be for anyone who visits a dedicated hobby site for video games. On top of it all remedy is damn good at making games.
What exclusives? Quantum break Scalebound Gears 4 and Forza are all coming to PC, You can't say the same thing about Uncharted 4 Ratchet and Clank Dreams The last Guardian Horizon zero at dawn and Gran turismo tho can you?
the best console exclusives this gen for me are bloodborne, killer instinct, forza horizon 2, ori and the blind forest, titanfall and tomb raider (timed). games that I think are ok halo 5, sunset overdrive, infamous and quantum break
In my opinion Halo is no longer a good reason to own an Xbox as the quality of Halo titles has gone way down. As a long time Halo fan, Halo 4 and 5 were both major disappointments. Not happy with most of 343's decisions and not interested in Halo 6, or whatever they end up calling it.
Don't need the same games such as Halo, Gears or Forza to sell the X1 they need something new and I fully back new and different. For years I've been tired of the same ol' games running Xbox. Nope, its time for a change up and I welcome change.
It is weird how the people most concerned about Xbox and it's games are the ones that hate the console the most. Also when Xbox games come to PC, magically the 'concerned' gamers suddenly have gaming PCs and interest in franchises they previously trashed. I still have play Quantum and have yet to form an opinion of the game.
I buy game consoles depending on the games. Thats why I had an xbox before and also Nintendo consoles. The current xbox just does not have anything I really "need" to have yet.
I doubt any game Microsoft release will ever convince fanboys like you to pick up the competition's console. Alas, if only everyone could see the benefits of owning all consoles.
@angelic Honestly I do see it but I watch you do this damage control in these type of article's all the time. Let em have their say you have yours the down votes speak more than you filling up the comment section letting them bait you in.
@Magnes No damage control, I just have a problem with fanboys talkin trash about a game they have no interest in or ever planning on picking up, ever. Breaking up the comment section with their fanboyism. How come I can't talk about this game or any other Xbox game in, well, semi peace at least like the other platforms. The other consoles don't get this much hate especially ps articles.
Downvotes don't mean much. When you express excitement or praise about a game the fanboys will come in and downvote you. Exhibit A. http://n4g.com/news/1885786...
Naw there's no bait, its simply shutting them down because its childish behavior. And you'll see them again when more Xbox games release. That's the nature of it I can't even have a decent discussion on here. Don't say its constructive criticism either (far, far from it) when you KNOW they're the offense force.
I have the game now and I'm pretty early into it its ok so far. But since I've played it fanboys opinions are really gonna be redundant, pointless, because I played it and they haven't, and never will so all that talk is just loud noise like nails to a chalk board. This is fanboys we're talking about here why am I explaining this? Just flip the scenario and maybe you'll understand a little better.
Not everyone can (1) afford a capable gaming PC or (2) get into PC gaming and prefer simplicity of consoles. Therefore, it's still a legitimate reason to get an Xbox One for many.
Pistol it's not as simple as just buying a PC. PC gaming requires more upkeep and general technical knowledge. The reason a lot of people prefer consoles is because with a console you just plug it right in and can expect any game you buy for that console to work. With PC you have to make sure you're meeting at least the minimum recommended specs, you have to make upgrades more frequently, it's just a bit more complicated than console gaming.
Also, how does being able to afford a $300-400 console mean one could afford a high end PC rig capable of running all the latest games at high graphical settings?
That's still millions and millions of people that disagree. If you want to act like that's nothing then Sony hasn't sold any consoles either, because 2 x nothing is still nothing.
Zeref made the comment that Sony fans in this article are acting like there are no reasons to own an Xbox One and Loktai comes along defending such behavior as justified.
I'm just pointing out that Loktai's comment is very ignorant, because he is trying to make it sound like XB1 owners don't matter simply because more people in the world have bought PS4s than XB1s.
Which is absurd, because that's a huge amount of people to just pretend don't matter.
And if you're going to pretend over 20 million people are nothing, then double that amount (as Loktai boasted) is still going to amount to nothing. You can just as easily marginalize or dismiss either group (if that is your intention and you're willing to use such faulty logic).
First off, he didnt even mention anything about "nothing". Secondly what he says still holds true. He stated a fact based on stastically figures. Then you come along and try to disprove it with your, well your reply really had no bearing on the comment other then millions of people have bought a xbox1. But that still doesn't make what he said less true.
Wow, i just read your second comment. It's even worse then the first. With what he said how did he say xbox1 owners dont matter? Now your just saying stuff to try to dis prove facts and making yourself look stupid in the process.
Some people in this article are pushing the message that "there's no reason to own an Xbox One".
Then Zeref comes along and complains about the fact that people are doing that.
Then Loktai feels the need to defend the trolls with a pointless and irrelevant comment about PS4 selling twice as much as the Xbox One.
Loktai's figure may be factual, but the context he's inserting it into and the things he's trying to imply with it are WRONG.
The fact that more people have bought PS4s than XB1s globally has no bearing on the rightness or wrongness of pretending there are no reasons to own an Xbox One.
Choosing to buy a PS4 is not synonymous with thinking there are no reasons to own an Xbox One. Many PS4 owners might own an Xbox One in addition to their PS4. Other PS4 owners, like myself, might not own an Xbox One, but still wouldn't agree with the idea that there are no reasons to own one.
Choosing one product over another does not mean you don't see any value in other products. That kind of thinking is the realm of the fanboy.
The fact that over 20 million people bought an Xbox One goes to show that there are a whole lot of people who don't agree with the idea that "there's no reason to own an Xbox One".
Loktai's comment was irrelevant and out of place given the comment he was responding to and the general context of the thread. If you can't see that, you might be part of the problem.
I thought Halo and Gears of War was the legitimate reason to buy an Xbox One..
Don't need the same games such as Halo, Gears or Forza to sell the X1 they need something new and I fully back new and different. For years I've been tired of the same ol' games running Xbox. Nope, its time for a change up and I welcome change.
Nah thank you..its not a reason to buy an xb1..but I might pick it up on pc someday.
For one game and inferior ports?
But its on PC
