"System Shock Remastered has seen the light of day. The first gameplay footage of the re-imagined game was released by developer Night Dive Studios on YouTube today. You can check it out for yourself below. The System Shock remaster is set for release on Xbox One and PC in 2017."
Atari has been considered a retro brand for decades now, but it hasn't always leaned into that designation. CEO Wade Rosen explains how the company's recent investments and acquisitions fit into the bigger picture.
wow... had no idea they were getting that deep into acquisitions. Hopefully they crank out more new ideas on some old classics.
Still remember my old 14" TV with the Atari sticker I had on it, haha... The sticker came with Unreal Tournament 2004 and I just had to slap that bad boy on my enormous beast of a display.
I would like to see Atari getting back into the gaming scene though. We could use some old blood stepping back into the ring these days.
"Today at gamescom, we’re excited to announce Star Wars™: Dark Forces Remaster!"
Wow , NIGHTDIVE studios did a incredible job with QUAKE 2 which I am about half way thru and a having a great time. I played Dark Forces on PS1 and loved it back in 1996, 97 . The remaster will be a day one buy for me !!! Thanks NIGHTDIVE.
April was good, but May might just be better. See what games are just around the corner and worth giving a try over the coming weeks!
it looks awesome, but no ps4 release?
So is this a fully backed remake of System Shock ordered by 2K or did some guys who have a hard on for System Shock decide to make a fan mod that turned into a fanmade remake that 2K is ok with?
this is more the kind of remake id like to see. old games built up from the ground in new current gen engines etc.
not all this bullcrap of ps3 and 360 games getting a lick of 1080p and 60fps treatment.
so many old classics would be a joy to play for the new generation of gamers.
