Hitman GO: Definitive Edition Review - Agent 47, Like You've Never Played Him Before | Short Pause

Short Pause: "Like many of you out there, mobile games aren't quite my forte. While a lot of gamers look down on phone games and refuse to even acknowledge their existence, some of us just do not want to help our phone’s battery deplete any faster than it already does. I fall into the latter group. Most days, I am happy to make it home with any battery life to speak of, so the thought of playing anything that speeds up that process throughout the day — while tempting — is just not in the cards for me. Hitman GO was one of the few mobile titles that really sounded appealing to me, but I just couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger and purchase it. Thankfully, the folks at Square Enix Montreal have brought this mobile gem to not only the PlayStation 4, but the Vita as well. Offering up enhanced visuals, great pacing, and trophies, Hitman GO: Definitive Edition is a satisfying solution for those of us who wish to spare our cell phone batteries for a few more hours."

I played this on iOS awhile back and it was a different style of Hitman game for sure, but had enough of the franchises signature elements to please fans of the franchise. Some of the levels are pretty difficult but it was always rewarding making it through the level undetected or to eliminate your target. This looks pretty awesome on PlayStation 4 and Vita (which I will be playing it on) and seriously, a platinum trophy? That's the cherry on top. This should keep me occupied until March 11th!

I'm not much of a fan of mobile gaming (touch screen gaming just doesn't feel right at all), so I'm really happy to see this coming to PS4 and Vita. I was really intrigued by the chess-style set up as it looked very challenging. $7.99 isn't a bad price either for a game that appears to have a fair amount of levels to play and a platinum trophy.

A Look at All of the Stealth Games Available on Vita

VGChartz's Adam Cartwright: "The stealth genre is one that some would argue doesn’t even exist – many titles include stealth elements, but actually fit into one of a number of other genres like action, platformer, or third-person shooter. Ever since the breakout success of the Metal Gear franchise (in particular Metal Gear Solid), though, the genre seems on much more stable footing and it demonstrated that you can have a veritable blockbuster on your hands relying only on stealth mechanics as the main gameplay element.

In recent years we’ve seen other things like Assassin’s Creed, Hitman and Splinter Cell continue to push the genre forward, although it still has somewhat limited appeal. Thankfully, the Vita has a healthy selection of stealth games available (and even more with backwards-compatibility), meaning if you’re looking to do some sneaking on the go then you’ll be well served with the console."

I just want Soul Reaver Go

Wishful thinking that they'd try to revive the series. Sort of annoying that a sequel is still 50/50.

A "Go" game would be far less of an investment though!
