Street Fighter V has launched today on PS4 and PC although the release is currently plagued with server issues and for some lacking in content even though Capcom have been pretty clear with what's included with the game at this time.
Street Fighter 5 launched in 2016, and is widely considered a misstep for the hugely popular franchise. This article explains why that is.
Every Street Fighter is called a misstep of the series since Street Fighter III..and even the Alpha games were not liked by everyone.
SF V had a miserable start but later it did a lot things actually better than SFIV and SF6.
SF6 is the first SF since SFII Turbo for that I did not buy at launch. And today, around 6 months after its launch I still have no motivation to buy it.
I grew out of fighting games, loved them as a kid but online you just get your ass kicked over and over leaving just the bare bones single player and also having no friends anymore who like fighting games either just makes me not want to buy or play them anymore.
Street Fighter documentary 'Here Comes a New Challenger' is now available for all, following a successful crowd funding campaign.

Round One: FIGHT!!
There's no defending this. Was looking forward to this game but will not get it until a complete version with story mode included. What a disappointment
Good luck with the defence...
I've enjoyed every major SF incarnation to varying degrees, however, the launch of SFV makes makes the launch for Driveclub look positive. You can imagine the trolls if it had launched exclusively on Wii U in this state...OH WOW!
The way people flip flop is absolutely insane. Okay, so let me get this straight. People are bitching about story mode in a game that has always been made fun of for abysmal stories? And arcade mode in a game that didn't even have an arcade release!? It gets even funnier when you consider that SF4 had single player modes but nobody gave a damn and it took a terrible wrap for bad netcode. Now when Capcom finally puts serious funding into the netcode (Which is incredibly solid btw) it just isn't good enough to your average gamer. It comes down to people just wanting something to bitch about. The game could of released with all those boring single player modes and you guys would still cry bloody murder about how it isn't up to par.
Internet reaction brought to you by 2015-2016 era outrage culture. Enjoy
They shouldve stopped worrying about mikas ass slap & focused on releasing the complete game. Its still fun but STOP RELEASING UNFINISHED PRODUCTS! Last day 1 buy unless i see thorough reviews on what i spend my money on.. MKX at least had the story done but i didnt feel like playing it anymore by the time the DLC released.. Current gen games are always incomplete & thats a huge bummer for people wanting to buy it right away
