All signs point towards an E3 reveal.

It's the 20th Anniversary this year (1996-2016). PERFECT!

Crash has been teased numerous times over the past few years, going back to the PS4's launch trailer, of which many images have led to PS4 games being announced, such as SFV, FFVII and Tearaway Unfolded.

Here's my previous comment on this, that compiles all the teases so far:

This NECA guy seems confident, but maybe he's just rolling off the teases and making assumptions. Or he could be privy to certain information. Exciting times to say the least!

ohhh damn in this E3 , Sony's conference will be muscle shivering ...i m already hyped

emad-E-three3045d ago

Tears of joy if it's true!! And I believe it is :D

Relientk773045d ago (Edited 3045d ago )

Also how can Sony EVEN TRY to top last years E3 with Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Shenmue 3, The Last Guardian etc

Crash Bandicoot is a huge megaton announcment! Can you believe it? It might happen this June!

Edit: I'm assuming they will show Crash Bandicoot and new God of War at E3, huge megaton announcments. Omg what if they show The Last of Us 2 as well, 3 huge announcements

nX3044d ago

Another Crash might bring tears of joy to my eyes... but they would quickly turn into sad tears if Activison is working on it.

Rayven3044d ago

I thought the 20th anniversary was last year? Or was it 2 years ago? They even had the special PS4 PSOne Grey edition.

I'm not gonna google it (too lazy) so please correct me if I'm wrong.

Anyway, I can't believe it took them this long to revive Crash Bandicoot. That was one of the few games I still want to play from the PSOne days. I thought for sure they're gonna have atleast one CB game every console gen. And please make it a CB Kart game, I preferred the racing games than the platforming ones.

Yea.. I can't wait till Sony's E3 this year. Sony acquiring the rights to Crash and announcing it at this years E3 would be HUGE. Crash has been a part of SCE since the very beginning. The game should've never been sold off in the first place. Crash is without a doubt the home of PlayStation. Also, a lot of Sony's other studios are still in the dark and have games to announce as well like Sony Bend, Sony Santa Monica, Sony Japan and Sucker Punch. There's also rumors that FromSoftware is making a PS4 exclusive as well. E3 is gonna be off the hook this year.

The 20th anniversary for last year was PlayStation's 20th anniversary. This year will be Crash's 20th anniversary year since he was introduced in 96. 2016 - 1996 = 20.

rainslacker3044d ago

I would love the reveal to have some precursor which plays into the old ad campaign they had with crash where they're antagonizing the competition.

Not that I really care for such tactics, just those ads were awesome for their time. Imagine all the console war fodder that Crash would have to work with this time around.

Pl4sm43044d ago

imagine ... the stage goes black ... then the announcer says i present you, what you all wanted all these years...... CRASH BANDICOOT 4 and drops mic. crowd goes wild, and trailers starts .... oh man. i would faint

btw it goes even more back then that they played one of crash bandicoots themes at a press conference on February 20, 2013 have a look

Please be true

Germany73044d ago

I can't take this anymore, Crash really needs to come back!

Aloy-Boyfriend3045d ago

Good day to be a PlayStation Fan

showtimefolks3045d ago

e3 2016 would be epic to start with crash or end with crash(last e3 startrf with the last guardian)

either way there is a 100% chance of sony buying back crash ip

the positive PR alone will be worth it for sony

DarkOcelet3044d ago

What would be Mega Epic in my opinion..

E3 starting with Crash Bandicoot 4 in Production by Naughty Dog's Second Team.

E3 ending with The Last Of Us 2 in Production by Naughty Dog's First Team.

But that is just a dream.

UltraNova3044d ago

ND has two teams, one working on U4 and the other on tLoU 2. If Sony got the rights back (which is very unlikely considering Activision would want to cash in on it because they know we and Sony want this badly) I dont believe ND would make the sequel since they have lots on their plate right now and they should start work on a completely new IP to replace Uncharted.

That said I hope ND assigns certain veterans to work close with the studio that will develop the game.

I hope these rumors end up being true...because if Crash is coming, E3 2016 might be even bigger than 2015's.

showtimefolks3043d ago

if crash is happening than sony has bought back or is in process of buying back the IP. i think activision could careless. they like games that set sales record so a game like crash doesn't interest them in any way

sony could pay cash or stocks to get the IP

UltraNova3043d ago

Yes I know that, what I was trying to say on my original post is that Activision might try strangling Sony for every single penny they can get just because they know what Crash means for PS fans, potentially ruining it for Sony.

I guess time will tell, but if all these teases and leaks throughout the years are anything to go by, I think we have a good chance to see Crash on PlayStation after-all.

Meltic3044d ago

Crash will surely come 2017. They are making it in silent.

TrollsBringer3044d ago

As much as we want it to success, it won't. Let's not kid ourselves, this is the gen of shooters and RPGs. Platformers struggle these days.

E3; it got be E3 2016. Sony will once again win E3 if the reveal it.

NukaCola3045d ago (Edited 3045d ago )

Would be an awesome reveal

NukaCola3045d ago

If true, called it. Sony and Activision have built a good relationship. This may be a really special thing.

littlezizu3045d ago

Yep, i think Sony was smart to tie up with Activision early in the gen and Crash could be icing to their bond.

-Foxtrot3045d ago (Edited 3045d ago )

No one really wants to see Activision have any part in it so hopefully Sony got the full rights

Imagine them being forced to use the shitty new designs

showtimefolks3045d ago

destiny did excellent on playstation and so did destiny. activision is one of the only smart publishers who actually come out looking smart

they bet on sony and it paid off while EA placed theirs with xbox and they are regrets(with titanfall)

Thatguy-3103045d ago

It was only a matter of time. I'm truly hoping that they go back to the old model though and that the IP is back to Sony.
