2013 was a good year too. Dead Space 3, The Last of Us, GTA5, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Tomb Raider reboot, Bioshock Infinite, Batman: Arkham Origins, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Grid 2 & more.
Dead Space 3? That game only deserves to be on rock-bottom lists. In my honest opinion.
Its is very Marmite that game but to me it was only that love story nonsense that was bad, really bad.

Imo, there are so many things that can go wrong with a Crash revival unless they stick to a specific line of planning.
This is all just my opinion but they need to stick with his original design being this:

And of course he should be mute and only stick to grunts and voice effects. Giving giving him a voice and a couple of lines would ruin the character.
They need to bring back atleast most of the original team who worked on the 3 first games.
A vast open world does not really fit Crash.
Linear levels requiring timed jumps, slides, spinning along with FU***** awesome bonus levels and specific spots in the level and fulfilling certain requirements for gems fits him lot more.
They need get Clancy Brown as Neo Cortex.
Friggin remove Crunch and give me back Tiny Tiger for Naughty Gods sake.
Put Coco in there as well along with Aku Aku and Uka Uka.
In fact, add most of the old villains: Papu Papu, Komodo Brothers Dingodile, Ripper Roo, Dr. N. Gin, Pinstripe Potoroo, Koala Kong and Nefarious Trop.
Have Dr. Nitrus Brio as an alternative last boss.
Have Fake Crash hidden somewhere on a level as a part of the background.
Yea, it really does sound like i want more of the same and you'd be absolutely right.
But most of the orignal team has moved on since then and im mostly certain if they're planning on bringing Crash back, Sony will be co-developing it with Activison. I very much doubt Sony has bought him back outright, would probably cost way too much.
Whatever they're planning, it'll be nice but they'll most likely be focusing on bringing in more new players rather than make a game for the old fans.
