From Cinelinx:
Fans have long clamored for a sequel to Star Wars: Republic Commando, especially since the ending left on something of a cliffhanger and one character's fate unresolved. I got the chance to speak with the game's lead programmer Brett Douville who revealed what WOULD have happened to the character if the sequel had happened.
A remake of the classic Star Wars: Republic Commando game could be the next best multiplayer Star Wars game.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch, 5 players co-op missions in a Hitman style where you have to achieve your goal and has multiple options on how to approach it, stealth or guns blazing. I would buy it day one
Why not a sequel? Like, Y’know, having the original and then something brand new?
Make me an elite trooper of the 501st who hunts Jedi. That's it. No Jedi in the game except for your mission targets. No lightsabers like every other game. Just a good soldier following orders. No moral dilemma or switching sides after a mission or two, just pure carnage for the Empire. Then disposed of at the end of the game for the new storm troopers.

God I would have loved to play that sequel.
I was always mad that I never got to find out what happened to Sev and the books had nothing to do with the game so that didn't help either...loved the game though. Did a Republic Commando video for a book report in school and they introduced me to Ash (who did the Clones song in the credits). Fun times....give me a sequel!
so first game is canon then ?
The original Republic Commando is on Steam sale today for $3.00. I was thinking about getting it. Is it worth it? (Consider they turned off the multiplayer, so it is single player campaign only.)
Sequel is rumored to be revealed at E3 2016
