Given new information provided by game director Tetsuya Nomura and producer Yoshinori Kitase, and the fact that Cyberconnect2 is involved, is it safe to say the Final Fantasy VII Remake is in good hands?
The tiny green slasher villain returns in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and is as frightening as ever.
The way it was handled was so dumb. One shots in melee...your teammates are to ostupid to get away from its attack. So you most often end up alone in a certain fight.
It's fairly common knowledge that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth enjoyed a relatively smooth development cycle, owing to the fact that Final Fantasy 7 Remake's team was largely kept intact, and the first game had obviously laid the foundations in terms of visuals and gameplay systems. It took Square Enix around three years to craft Rebirth, and it expects the same kind of timeline when it comes to the third (and final) title in the trilogy.
I really think it should've been just one game or two at most, kept to the simple turn based combat, and no crazy changes to the story. But it's whatever. I liked rebirth but man was it bloated with so much unnecessary and repetitive stuff. Square is really betting their money on the remakes. I do admit the remakes have been the only mainline ff games Ive actually quite liked since probably 10 lol.
That's pretty crazy if you think about the 2005 PS3 tech demo that started this all! I'm not sure if they ever intended to remake the game at that time, but the fan outcry for it was so incredible that it eventually became a reality! Now imagine all of the fans who have died waiting for this. :\
I mean not too surprised, they already have most of all the assets already made. I just hope it's UE5 and they crank it to 11 and finish strong. I also hope they go back and upgrade Remake and Rebirth to UE5 too. BUY THE DAMN GAME PEOPLE!!
Final Fantasy 7 has come back under the spotlight thanks to the release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, but is it worth replaying the original?
Very much so. Graphically it's dated but the story and the gameplay haven't aged a day. It's still one of my all time favourite RPGs and for me is better than Remake in some ways.
Well, I'm buying it so yeah I would say it is.
Based off of the footage showing so far, their vision for the game vibes good with me, just like with XV. Personally I hope more Japanese developers follow, except for the few who's games already look cool.
I love Nomuras work but in the case of this game I am not sure, there seems to be a lot of Exec pressure on the game and we know very little about what they are doing to it...Guess we will have to see.
No, it isn't. But then again, that was already noticeable with FFXV as well.
The game is in fine hands. You're all just cynical haters who wouldn't be pleased with whoever was handling it.
With how Japanese developers/publishers have been in recent years, I'll be skeptical until proven otherwise. Far too many bad decisions have been getting made in recent years to make things more appealing to Western markets. Having said that though, the footage looks great and this is coming from someone who generally hates the thought of this becoming an action rpg.
