Personally I feel it's the best multiplayer game this gen. Just need more maps that's all.

Presentation wise I'd have to hand it to Battlefront though, I've been playing the EA Access trial and I'm in awe at how freakin amazing it looks.

It amazing looking but that always were off....It needs to stay fresh all the time. I can tell you already that Halo 5 will have a long haul especially because they have a great foundation with what they have created.. Perhaps one of the best FPS multiplayer ever. Let see if EA can keep it going with battlefront although I can tell there pretty greedy already with how outrages some of the prices are.

spicelicka3163d ago

I agree, presentation will only last so long. Battlefront doesn't play that great though. I don't really see it having a competitive appeal.

My biggest issue right now is the laser weapons. Although they have to be lasers because its Star wars, I just don't like shooting with them. They have no recoil and it feels fake, I love the satisfaction of real bullets shooting from the gun and this game doesn't have it.

I downloaded battlefront, but can't get away from halo long enough to play it... The MP is THAT GOOD, despite the lack of content.

I know what you mean, Warzone and arena are the most fun I've had in multiplayer for years I'm addicted

FlexLuger3163d ago

Smae here. Donwloaded the trial of Access a few days ago..still got over 8 hourse left. and halo is responsible.

DreamGamer3163d ago

Though I believe the map packs for Halo 5 will be free as well! :D

Been playing Halo 5 since launch and I actually don't enjoy Warzone at all. It's just not fun to me.

Team Slayer however, is a ton of fun and IMO Team Slayer IS Halo. They got that right + the mechanics and gun balance is there as well.

BTB is arriving next week, which should be more enjoyable than Warzone, & once Forge gets here things get really fun.

All I want to honestly do is create maps right now.

mhunterjr3163d ago

I don't really play standard warzone, I play Warzone Assualt.. If you like dropping a lot of bodies it's the way to go. And it helps perfect your precision skills.

3-4-53163d ago

I'll have to try it out. I'd only played like 2-3 games of regular warzone and couldn't get into it so I just stick with Team Slayer.

DreamGamer3163d ago

Not gonna lie, I was pretty blown back by the scope of Walker Assault. It may feel like an unbalanced mess, but it's a GOOD LOOKING unbalanced mess :P

I love Warzone bring on the new maps.

DreamGamer3163d ago

I'm surprised there's only three. Where's the city map that we saw before? I was hoping it was a launch map.

Tedakin3163d ago

I'm hooked on Halo 5 mp and I'm someone who reaaaally didn't like Halo 4's. They nailed it this time.

Revolt133163d ago

My personal favorite gametype is Breakout, love that clutch feeling!

DreamGamer3163d ago

I tried out Breakout, and it's good for hardcore players. For more casual ones like me, it's a bit too intense.

Yetter3163d ago

Id like warzone more if it were ranked

Master Chief Became More Than A Machine In 343's Halo

In Halo 4, 5, and Infinite, Master Chief became a more nuanced, human character.

In spite of the Halo series’ struggles, 343 deserves praise for adding nuance and characterisation to the ever-beating heart of Halo - The Master Chief. Playing through Infinite, it's abundantly clear that the events of the current and previous trilogies have irrevocably changed the iconic hero. He’s no longer the ‘blank slate’ that was previously presented by Bungie. He’s a fatigued, damaged and fallible protagonist, and one who is meandering through currents of grief, while reveling in his newfound agency. Giving the Chief a compelling and meaningful voice was no small feat, and 343 should be proud of that victory.

This article completely misses part of the appeal of the original iteration of character in the original game trilogy. It was the Chief and Cortana vs an entire alien collective. The blank slate Bungie displayed in their games was genius, he was an mysterious hero a wide audience could identify with because he wasn't as clearly defined as most characters.

The books added a lot of lore and backstory but most Halo players just want a fun game with exposition that doesn't get in the way of gameplay, it's why the Cortana level in Halo 3 was derided.

Not every character has to be a damaged soyboy, a soldier has to suck it up and do his duty.

A lot of people give the 343 version of Master Chief a lot of slack.
But Fundamentally he is still the same character, he just has a couple more dialogues. He has not changed in terms of attitude.
"Not every character has to be a damaged soyboy, a soldier has to suck it up and do his duty."
And that's what he has done at the end of the day, he did his duty. Watch his partner die, and was ready to destroy the weapon in Halo infinite....he is still the same soilder that everyone remembers

Halo Infintes one was a nice balance between both.

Chief and the halo franchise became a joke under 343

Sciurus_vulgaris485d ago

The 343i Master Chief has is based on the books. However, in Halo 4-Infinite, the Master Chief overtime become. gradually becomes more willing to show some emotion.

Obscure_Observer485d ago

"However, in Halo 4-Infinite, the Master Chief overtime become. gradually becomes more willing to show some emotion."

Which is awesome! I love how Master Chief become more John and less soldier.
