Ahmed Mohamed: "As the romping theme song blared into my ears, I took a second to ponder on the impact the Uncharted series had on the wider gaming industry. From their somber days developing Crash Bandicoot and Jak & Daxter, developer Naughty Dog had come out of the PlayStation 3 generation as the best developer in the business, ending with the masterpiece that was The Last of Us. As we move towards Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, it was great to get the original three games remastered on PlayStation 4 and running at a smooth 60 frames per second. Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, a title mirroring it’s Xbox Halo Collection counterpart, reminds me of both how good this series was last generation and, contrasting to today’s gaming scene, how other developers have not been able to catch up to games Naughty Dog developed years ago. It truly is a marker of the studio that many aspects in the previous Uncharted’s are better than in most games of 2015."
There are some epic PlayStation Plus Premium shooters, from Naughty Dog's Uncharted series to the high-stakes action of Doom published by Bethesda.
Alex DS. from Link Cable Gaming writes: "It's practically expected that every major game franchise eventually gets a compilation that collects the best (or just a ton) of games in one convenient package. And that's what we're looking at in today's top 10, the very best video game compilations ever!"
Game Cube's Legend of Zelda Collectors Edition.---Zelda, Zelda 2, Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.
KeenGamer: "Here are the 5 greatest remakes and remasters available on PS4. The art of video game remakes is a tricky one that requires a careful balance of innovation and faithfulness to the original game. The following 5 games manage to get this balancing act right and breathe new life into beloved classics."
SotC is just... indescribably fantastic. Bluepoint was on point with that one. I look forward to their efforts in Demon Souls.
I find it hard to look past The Last of Us on PS4, it was a fantastic remaster of my favourite game of all time so I simply adored it. A game that runs it damn close though, is Odinsphere which is flipping brilliant on PS4.
There have been some seriously great remasters on PS4 now I think about it, I loved the Bioshock collection, the DarkSouls remaster was great, The Spyro and Crash remakes were brilliant, Dragons Crown Pro, Gravity Rush and Dishonoured. Some fab remasters to compliment the hundreds of great new games on this generation.
