FIFA 16 Vs PES 2016: Which Is Best?

As a life long Fifa fan I can tell you PES is better this year simply because Fifa is absolute Balls! I'm going back to Fifa 15 again until 17 comes out.

What is so bad about it? Genuine question.

I havent bought one yet this year, waiting for a digital sale.

I tend to switch, depending on which is better at the time. Been playing pes since the 13 release, played fifa from 08-12, played pes whole of ps2 era, played fifa whole of ps1 era.

Played both demos this year, prefer pes gameplay. But whats different about fifa compared to 2015?

Because Fifa this year is less fast paced, so those players who used pace pace pace tactics can't no longer win and they cry about it.

The passing is genuinely a shambles in this one, the ball either moves unbearably slow or you use the RB/R1 button to make a fast pass which blasts into the players feet at 100mph. I also find the final ball to go anywhere but the player it's intended for, shooting also seems to be pretty shit too, usually when I'm playing the old one's it would go where I visualised the shot about 60-70% of the time but in this one it's more like 30-40%. The defending in it is really good but you don't buy fifa to defend. And like that Nekroo91 guy said they have completely taken the pace from the forwards to the point where Martin Skrtell can gain about 5-8 yards on Ronaldo in a sprint. ( seriously that's happened to me ) so yeah basically I can't beat the defender for pace and have to stop , turn, and pass inside, by then the defence has reshaped and I have to pass the ball around them and try to find a way through, only as I said the passing is shit and a large majority of my games finish 1-0 or a draw. I've finished 2 seasons now with the best defence in the league and 20 + clean sheets out of the 38 and I'm finishing 4th or 5th in the league because I can't break down these defences and when I finally do the final ball is embarrassing. And that's why I hate it haha. Please don't buy it mate. I've absolutely loved every fifa for the last 17 years but this one is a joke.

you mean you cant just buy the fastest players and sprint round people anymore?

im loving it and i dont get annoyed anymore because when i get beat the guy has skill and deserves the win.

im loving the edge of seat games where a draw is good and win is great like in real life.

Aye in terms of online head to heads I'd say it's better, I should've stated I was talking about Career mode, Also the AI players in Be A Pro are awful too though. I love a close game as well mate, I had an unbeaten season with Liverpool on Legendary in 15 and let me tell you there were some incredible moments in those 38 games where I'm glad it wasn't just easy and boring. And I understand you shouldn't be able to pass to the fastest players and sprint past the defenders like they're not there but should they be able to catch you every single time? Is that realistic? Have Robben or Bale never managed to beat a defender for pace before?

Agree completely with the guy in the video about FUT. I hate it & steer well clear of it every year. I've tried many times to get into it but I just dont like the UI, management, coins, any of it. Funny as the only game mode I played in PES back in the day was master league which is what FUT tried to be.

Career mode is where I spend all my time in Fifa.

The way Fifa is going though it wouldn't surprise me if it slowly gets condensed until it's just purely FUT & nothing else included.

I was PES/ISS all the way until Fifa 09, the point in which PES fell down and Fifa improved massively. This stayed the same until this year - in my opinion. I bought both. Have since traded Fifa 16 and am running and running with PES 2016. Faults? Keepers (possibly) and online input lag (definitely). 'Fix' these niggles and you have arguably the best football game ever.

Fouls ? The AI never foul me. I have both too but stopped PES as it's unrealistic to play game after game without a foul, free kicks, yellow cards, penalties & sending offs are all missing from the game all the time the AI doesn't foul. Then there's the laziness of August transfers not done, laggy online, poor alternative to FUT, everyone's got a different opinion, but that's mine. FIFA although not perfect by any means has all the above in each game so feels like a real game.

The lack of numerous fouls just adds to the ferocity of the matches - in my opinion. Yes, I could see it would be an issue for some, but for me I like the siege mentally of it all. The transfers - or lack of - is poor I will agree.
