it is pretty sad and ridiculous. Remasters need to stop unless they're hugely demanded classic game remasters

Toiletsteak3621d ago

You can't moan about remasters then say it is ok if it is what you want.

Timesplitter143621d ago (Edited 3621d ago )

You can't stop me ToiletSteak

Nineball21123621d ago

What is this? "I know you are but what am I"?

C'mon guys. Keep on topic.

pompombrum3621d ago (Edited 3621d ago )

Well what else can Capcom do? They work their employees so hard some have been hospitalized. Most of their talent jumped shipped long ago, the only reason they still have Ono is because of his passion and dedication to the Street Fighter brand and fighting games in general.

DualWielding3621d ago

nothing wrong with this kind of remasters, Resident Evil Zero has never been available on non-Nintendo platforms so non Nintendo gamers will now have their first chance to play it, DMC 4 special edition actually has lots of extra content people are excited for, the Mega Man NES games are available on Nintendo's VC but the collection will bring them to non Nintendo gamers... don't see what's the problem

CorndogBurglar3621d ago

There's nothing wrong with remasters as long as they aren't keeping devs from making new games. Which they aren't. Most devs push these remasters out to 3rd parties to make. I can't think of any remaster to come out where there wasn't a new installment of the series in the works also.

I fail to see the problem. If a remaster comes out that u dont want it, then dont buy it. Doesn't mean other people dont want it, which they obviously do. Remasters wouldn't get made if there wasn't a demand for them.

@duelwielding, I take it you are unfamiliar with the Mega Man Anniversary collection for the Gamecube, Xbox and PlayStation 2?

It was the original 6 NES games coupled with 7 & 8 all of which had been faithfully ported with progressive scan compatibility as well as extra content.

Kumomeme3621d ago

hugely demanded game not neccessary classic

for example....very demanded dragon dogma remaster

UltraNova3621d ago

Well you know something's wrong when a game company shows up at E3 with only remastered versions of already remastered games!

For their sake I hope the have a bombshell of a surprise announcement planned!

joab7773621d ago (Edited 3621d ago )

Once all 3 Bioshock games are remastered, I will call for a stop. Until then, I'm just gonna skip everything that releases b4 the "Would you kindly?" collection releases.

And I want all 3. Oh, and if Valve is bored, in the meantime, I would pick up a true remaster of all the half-lifes.

Completely off topic, where is Dragons Dogma Online? I know it's east, but it'll be coming. I wanna see it.

Mankey3621d ago

Lol, prob gonna buy all of those too. I'd like to show them there is room for sequels, and those were all awesome games.

TheOnlyMastrx3621d ago

Opened the article and realized you weren't kidding. Well hopefully those remasters aren't $60 new, $40 maybe, I am not interested in any of them anyways, but people shouldn't have to pay full price for previous gen games. The only way I see remasters being worth the money is a reduced price for single titles or multiple titles in a collection.

Yi-Long3621d ago

Probably better to hope for a reboot, simply because the gameplay will feel outdated when released today...

Chevalier3621d ago

I will 2nd the Onimusha remaster. Also Powerstone collection, Dark Stalkers and also Rival schools collections while we're at it.

XanderZane3621d ago (Edited 3621d ago )

Pretty much. If they were going to bring Mega Man to next-gen, why didn't they just remaster ALL the games including the X and Legend series. They should throw in Tron Bonne as a bonus. I'd buy that in a heartbeat. I won't waste my money on this MegaMan collection, because I already have it for my PS2. I have the X series for my Gamecube. I do want Resident Evil 0 though, cause I never got it for my Gamecube.

thelwebb1003621d ago

It's simple, they didn't include the X and Legend serie because they could those remastered by themselves. Capcom sucks!

I saw 4 games

zeuanimals3621d ago (Edited 3621d ago )

It's pretty well known that Capcom's got serious financial problems, this just makes it really clear.

zsquaresoff3621d ago

Rather play classic remastered games than buy an expensive pc and play goat simulator.

Doge3621d ago

But you don't even need a PC to play Goat Simulator...

When you compare the amount of great current-gen games available on each system, PC seems like a much better investment.

Right now, the PS4 is basically a Bloodborne machine. And the X1 is basically... uh... I dunno. It'll get Halo 5 at some point

Plagasx3621d ago (Edited 3621d ago )

Goat Simulator is life. Buzz off.

"Console Remaster Race "

LOL.

That's actually funny... and at the same time, sadly true.

Timesplitter143621d ago

Deep Down is definitely starting to have that "game we see once in a while but will actually never come out" vibe

KiwiViper853621d ago

Didn't they say recently, that its been sent back to the drawing board? Because it wasn't a fun game?

Kingscorpion713620d ago

@Kiwi They didn't say that. Only Xbox fanboys said that.

Mikefizzled3621d ago

I don't believe this is it. They are hiding something that will be announced on either the MS or Sony stage. Capcom Vancouver's next game on MS stage and maybe Resident Evil 7 or Devil May Cry 5 at Sony stage.
