Destiny “Red Bull” Promotion Confirms The Taken King Expansion

A Red Bull leaked promotional image seems to have again confirmed that the next Destiny expansion is called “The Taken King”. This is supposed to be the biggest expansion to the game yet with many calling it “Destiny 1.5″.

Not sure what COD has to do with what I posted. By the way I never bought a COD game.
BTW I own Destiny and both expansions (only because a good soul gave me a $20 gift card to buy it) and even though the game is fun, it doesn't mean that the DLC should be overpriced.

Doesn't Sony only have a one year exclusive deal with Activision/Bungie on Destiny? I imagine assuming they renew their deal, it'll be shown at Sony's conference however after the mixed reception Destiny has received, I doubt Sony would be stupid enough to use it as their closer.

Expansions sold separately should cost you $20, like House Of Wolves did.

I can't wait! I have a lot of time in this game, and the House of Wolves expansion was great imo. Prison of Elders and Trials of Osiris are both fun imo.

Destiny is not a good game. It's just an addicting game.

Justifying it by saying "I put in 200 hours" doesn't really say a whole lot. I know people who have done the same with Candy Crush.

Stop it. It's a GOOD game. It's shooting mechanics are spot on and the controls are great. It lacks an indepth storyline. Outside that, this game is very fun.

I'm around 700 hours in and I agree that it is addicting as well as a time sink with some of its aspects BUT the only reason that I go through any of that is because it's FUN.

I enjoy playing the game, point blank.

One of two things will likely happen;

Scenario A: Bungie actually care about their reputation and have secretly spent the last year working hard on delivering the experience we all had hoped Destiny would be.

Scenario B: Bungie realize the audience they've snared are nothing more than digital loot addicts and will focus almost entirely on this aspect while once again delivering a story experience so bad that it makes Twilight look like Shakespeare.

If it's Scenario A, I hope it's successful and that we can finally get a look at the vision Bungie had planned for Destiny in the first place.

If it's Scenario B, I hope it fails hard and forces Bungie to reconsider their partnership with Activision or at the very least take a good long hard look at themselves and what needs changing moving forward.

We've been hoping for A for a long time, only to be disappointed.

We hope for A however B is what will happen. When Destiny first released I was part of the "ooh I have to play it" group, however, in Dec when Dark Below released I lost interest and went back to WarFrame. I know a lot of people started up again when the House of the Wolves released, however even now they're going through the same burn out as before.

The game does have potential, it does have certain things FPS games could take a page from game mechanics wise, however the way the game was handled even from day one I've been nothing but disappointed.

Bungie will have to do a lot to win my trust and respect again, because as of right now they're another company who's out for money and not for the fans and/or passion.

the word Expansion is very deceiving, Destiny's extra content is more like DLC not expansions. I don't support these dirty tactics, shame on you Bungie.

Guess that's what happens when you make a pact with the devil (Activision).
