What We Want In: Bethesda @ E3 2015

"E3 2015 is inching ever closer, and as the biggest event in the gaming calendar approaches, gamers hopes and dreams begin to take their own forms, become entities greater than the hard facts. At BGU we have our own ideas, hopes, dreams, and as such we’re addressing each of the major press conferences and discussing what we want from them. First up is Bethesda, a publisher who has never before hosted an E3 press conference, 2015 being their first. Here’s What We Want in Bethesda’s E3 2015 Show" - Paul James of BGU

Fallout 4, that's is the only thing I want to see from Bethesda. Everything else I really could care less about.

Jughead34163266d ago

To have their very own E3 press conference for the first time ever? Fallout has to be their headliner. Anything else would be a colossal disappointment. They know what the fans want. I'm sure they'll have other announcements to make. But for me, it's Fallout or bust.

Erik73573266d ago

Fallout 4, Fallout 4, and Fallot 4

Oh and Fallout 4

Maxor3266d ago

ESO!! Am I rite folks?

Just kidding. It's obvious, Fallout 4 or bust.

xiorath3266d ago

I must be the only one who would rather see Doom 4 over Fallout 4.

Paul853266d ago

Your not the only one, can't wait for more doom info hopefully it drops this year!!!

Perjoss3266d ago

This is a fair comment, especially after the fantastic reboot of Wolfenstein. Its a shame its not Machine Games working on Doom 4 because id Software have always been better at making great engines rather than great games, but I still have faith it will be good.

A new Fallout would be cool too though.

Microsoft should have left them stay 3rd party

GamerRN1d 5h ago

If they are let go, they can be whatever they want. They ARE 3rd party now... 🤦

Barlos1d 3h ago

Yeah, they're also jobless.

GamerRN20h ago

They can form a company if they want, they are just as jobless as if "Microsoft had left them as 3rd party".

peppeaccardo22h ago

"MIcrosoft leaves Bethesda do what they know how to do best" ... close! Oh the irony ....
(Citation from a week old article)

ChasterMies18h ago

I think Microsoft and other game publishers are letting people go because they think ai will replace them. Doesn’t matter how much profit they make. They were always going to be let go.

PassNextquestion1d 8h ago (Edited 1d 8h ago )

Bethesda France was made up of roughly 15 people... they couldn't of being doing much

Bethesda France mainly did publishing and marketing within the region

blacktiger1d 5h ago

that's a shame for you to say that, i'm sure Elite loves hearing what you just said.

Mr Logic16h ago

What a stupid thing to say. The elites give 0 fucks what we say on an obscure website in the comments section.

Crows9015h ago

You can always reach out and give them jobs at your company man. Don't wait

Profchaos1d 8h ago (Edited 1d 8h ago )

Bethesda France focused on publishing and marketing in the region. And 15 people lost their jobs as part of the closure.

I wonder if this is part of Microsoft's strategy to abandoned physical media or possibly gamepass advertising makes their roles redundant you don't need to market a game as hard when the majority of players get the game as part of a sub which already promoted upcoming games

Tacoboto1d 7h ago

It's France too, there's a high likelihood only 1-2 people on the team even had an Xbox.

Profchaos1d 7h ago

Possibly guven all the leaks we know the Xbox brand is really struggling in the region.

Yi-Long1d 4h ago

Well, if your consoles and games are barely found in any stores any more, of course you're gonna struggle finding consumers ...

XiNatsuDragnel1d 6h ago

Tbh Microsoft I think Bethesda being 3rd party same with Activision would probably more competitive than thus scenario imo

Profchaos1d 5h ago (Edited 1d 5h ago )

I think it would have been better for all parties really especially gamers

TheColbertinator1d 5h ago

The recently purchased Activision French offices might take over all the licensing and marketing for Microsoft in France from now on.

Bethesda reminds you how much you want The Elder Scrolls 6 by teasing early builds

Bethesda will do as Bethesda does, tormenting us with talk of a playable build of TES 6 on the 30-year anniversary of The Elder Scrolls series.

Playable builds is always good to know sounds like they've started full production. Still BR awhile but good to know development is goin smooth.

VenomUK30d ago (Edited 30d ago )

Whilst Elder Scrolls VI might be good, I speak on behalf of the ENTIRE N4G community when I say we'd much prefer Starfield 2 first.

RaidenBlack30d ago

eh, I want Fallout 5 before that.
(before ES6, even ... if it was possible 😈)

MrNinosan30d ago

I won't want a Starfield 2 at all.
Give me ESVI and Fallout 5... on Playstation ofc

Palitera30d ago (Edited 30d ago )

ES6 at 30 fps? Not really, thanks. Good thing the industry has evolved since Bethesda was great.

Obscure_Observer30d ago

"Playable builds is always good to know sounds like they've started full production. Still BR awhile but good to know development is goin smooth."

It will probably be a launch game for the next gen Xbox.

Fingers crossed

XiNatsuDragnel31d ago

Playable builds would be great to get those myself.

isarai31d ago

They better not mess this up i swear

Ninver30d ago

They'll find a way. If it's not $10 horse armor dlc it'll be old engine with bugs

phoenixwing30d ago

Would be nice if everything wasn't a million loading screens when it releases

QuestionMark30d ago

I lost a lot of enthusiasm for Elder Scrolls VI after playing Starfield. It was interesting, but it was still a massive disappointment for me. Elder Scrolls is different from Starfield in many ways, but I can’t bring myself to trust Bethesda with anything anymore.

phoenixwing30d ago

yeah i'm definitely going to wait a month after reviews and see what people really think of the game instead of it being day 1.

RpgSama30d ago

That one-two combo of Fallout 76 AND Starfield does not give me a lot of hope for the future.

raWfodog30d ago (Edited 30d ago )

I think it’s because some were hyping Starfield to be this ‘generational’ masterpiece when it just turned out to be an okay/good game.

Really Bethesda? Come on

We could have gotten to explore more of the regions or revisit old ones with another developer making them. Would have shortened the time between releases of the main games.

shinoff2183129d ago (Edited 129d ago )

Just thinking about what could've been. Maybe they didn't wanna be showed up on their flagship title Ala new vegas compared to fallout 3 and 4

phoenixwing128d ago

it's not that hard to show them up when they're like 20 years behind in terms of engine and development skills. If they had gotten the go ahead i guarantee it would have been better than anything they'd made recently.

anast128d ago

Bethesda didn't and still doesn't do above the bare minimum.

cammers1995128d ago

The issue here was Bethesda was butthurt that obsidian managed to develop a better fallout game at the time (new vegas) than theirs (fo3) so they didn't allow it.

OneLove128d ago (Edited 128d ago )

It's funny how they're both owned by Microsoft now. They should be able to work together now.
