Battlefield Hardline Is The Best Battlefield Title For Some Time

IM PLAYIN discuss why they believe that Battlefield Hardline is one of the best Battlefield titles for some time.

"I’m a diehard Battlefield fan, I have been for some time now. Pretty much since I first played the demo of Battlefield 2 on the Xbox 360, I’ve been more or less hooked. Over the past few years, DICE has been changing up the Battlefield series in various different ways. Bad Company saw a bit of humour added to the franchise, whereas Battlefields 3 and 4 introduced multiplayer on a more epic scale. Hardline, however, is almost a completely new experience. But, at the same time, it still has that Battlefield feel that fans of the series have come to love."

Prior to Hardline, I felt Bad Company was the last good Battlefield game. Battlefield 3 felt like a CoD knock-off, Bad Company 2 was weak, Battlefield 4 was broken.

jackwei223703d ago

Bad Company 2 arguably is the best one on that list you mentioned.

Mrtemper3703d ago

BF3 still felt like battlefield other then the strange CQ map pack. But with that said, BFBC2/Vietnam/BF1943 are the best battlefield games.

HammadTheBeast3703d ago

For some reason I thought the CQC pack was refreshing, the destruction was insane on that one like Bad Company 2's, but I did like the open maps with the later packs. And of course, Back to Karkand was easily one of the best map packs.

Revolver_X_3703d ago

All BS aside, Hardline's MP is meh, and feels the same. But the single player is the best from a BF game since BC2.

HammadTheBeast3703d ago

It's a great game, but didn't need the Battlefield name on it.

As usual the singleplayer is corny, but the multiplayer is awesome. I would put this above BF4 because at least this was broken at launch

ThatIrishGamer3703d ago

Multiplayer is dominated by helicopters, M416's. Everyone uses the same class and same assault rifle.

Maps are garbage.

Still having reasonable fun - but I wouldn't have bought it had it came out September - December.

jriquelme_paraguay3703d ago

or maybe you are a n00b and cant adapt to other people gameplay styke...

Clown_Syndr0me3703d ago (Edited 3703d ago )

Maps are garbage?
Best maps on any FPS (small scale FPS not including BF4) since Modern Warfare 2 IMO.
Also never used M416 myself. P90 and MPX all the way!

BlackTar1873703d ago

I actually never run into heli issues and most people i see use 3 guns ACW, P90 and k10

HammadTheBeast3703d ago

Barely anyone uses heli's properly, I've seen more people on the AWR, and while its true that most people stick to assault, thats been a general problem with the past 3 battlefield games.

LOL, Hardline is trash. I've been playing since Battlefield Modern Combat..BTW.

Not worth the $60.00 price tag...god help you if you bought premium.

DrRobotnik3703d ago (Edited 3703d ago )

I agree with you. This is not a battlefield game. It should have just been called Hardline.

Archmagel3703d ago

Yep. I'm going to agree with you. Bad Company 2 was the last real enjoyment in a BF game to me. Also been playing since Modern Combat.

Hell, I even loved the Bad Company story. Just four guys taking on the world and Sarge just wanting it all to end so he can go fishing(loved Haggard starting a war single handedly XD).

This was one of my harder platinums to get, mainly because the game was the beginning of the Battlefield decline, this game was horrible.

Yi-Long191d ago

DLC for shooters generally splits the player-base between ‘haves’ and ‘have nots’, and it often means that servers became less populated and as a result, many dropped the game completely once that happened …

myDorazio191d ago

Yeah, kind of ironic isn't it. If they had released it a year later with the DLC part of the base experience, it would have gotten a bigger audience.

Hardline at least tried to mix things up for the first time in a while. This was pretty much the nail in the coffin for Visceral though.

MDTunkown197d ago

The map were to small for a lot of ideas, riding around two streets was stupid

Cacabunga196d ago

Yet another great decision made by EA. They really know what they’re doing

just_looken197d ago (Edited 197d ago )

The vip mode was a great idea but the whole game had that need more time in the oven feeling. My only big issue with hardline as a whole was the smgs.

But vip plus c4 classic

Classic mp hardline video of someone actually using a mic in game very rare too see this today

GAMERJET197d ago

Hardline was my favorite Battlefield.

Demetrius197d ago

Hardline was fun af, nice size areas to get around in. Got a good 10 hours out of it because I took my time much as I can. Sucha good story and atmosphere

RavenWolfx197d ago

I didn't even know this was something that had been requested. A new Bad Company, oh hell yeah. Hardline? Not so much.

HyperMoused197d ago

Hardline was great for what it was and it had the best MP mode with the moving hardpoints, if you havnt played it the hard points to capture were vehicles, with points earned for how long you are in one, so its this huge mash up of ground warfare and taking out vehicles and getting in one and tearing ass trying not to get blown up...was awesome.
