This will be the most exciting GDC I can recall. Lots of tech reveals. VR, Holo, DX12, openGL next, steam machine fate, game engines...

For some reason I thought of Elveon and Project Offset when I first read the title although it has zero to do with either one. I just really wanted both of those games last gen :(

I guess I'm just thinking of other RPGs (or at least gorgeous fantasy games ) I never got to play.

The more RPGs the merrier though and am looking forward to seeing more on a lot of games come GDC/e3.

Oh man I forgot all about project Elveon. That game looked amazing. I remember thinking those were the best graphics ever made at the time.

starchild3773d ago

I don't remember Elveon, but Project Offset looked so promising at the time and it definitely showed off the best real-time visuals up to that point.

Nice addition. Good to hear that the devs are well aware of what some people think of early access.

Digital_Anomaly3494d ago

Believe it or not there are devs out there who actually care about our feedback!

Almost surprising, right!?

MercilessDMercer3494d ago

I'm always a fan of massive amounts of content!

Cdn_Seahawks_Fan3494d ago

Open world games are huge. I am glad to see a dev listening to those who play.

Shinuz3493d ago

What?! How come I never heard of this game? A cross between Dark souls and Skyrim woah you got me right there, sounds awesome!

The Memory of Eldurim - PC Preview | Chalgyr's Game Room

Chalgyr's Game Room:

The Memory of Eldurim impresses as an action RPG title, but it serves as another very good example as well. While there have been plenty of stories about Early Access games going bad or drawing to a close prematurely, The Memory of Eldurim has so far shown the good that can come from the program as well.

Went totally under my radar.

Btw is it just me or does the world look sterile/static and
unhibited?

Edit: Seems to be early access ...

NovusTerminus3759d ago

It's a 3 man team, and early access. So it's going to be a while before it shapes up in full.

Ark_3759d ago (Edited 3759d ago )

Ah okey, thx for the info.
For a three man team it's impressive. But I fear they aimed a bit high with a mixture between Skyrim and Darksouls. Let's see what they can pull off.

There seems to be a surge of indi games lately using cryengine thx to crytek launching there software on steam while back I like that.
