If there are two things that make games infinitely less enjoyable, they’re players who cheat and players who disconnect before the end of a multiplayer match. Evolve player ‘King’ currently sits at the top of the leaderboard with over 150 wins and 0 losses as the Goliath – all achieved by disconnecting before the end of a game.
Back in 2016, Turtle Rock announced that support for its 4v1 monster-hunting shooter Evolve would end but fans wouldn't let it die.
From NME: "Evolve: Stage 2 had its multiplayer servers shut down back in 2018, but today players are once again able to matchmake and join peer-to-peer multiplayer games.
Several months ago, peer-to-peer functionality was lost for Evolve Legacy, which was the only way fans of the series could play with friends. Upon a multitude of players reaching out to publisher 2K, the issue was eventually fixed earlier in July. It seems 2K have gone a step further now, and reinstated peer-to-peer and matchmaking functionality for Evolve: Stage 2 after four years."
Evolve is an asymmetrical multiplayer experience born at the tail-end of the wrong era, in the multiplayer world.
Great idea but poorly executed and destined to fail from the begging. Only thing I’m grateful towards this game is that it’s the one that convinced me to never buy a game blind again.
Shadowrun for the Xbox 360/PC would of been a better example of a great online game that launched At the wrong time.
What a nub.
There's a similar glitch in madden and EA has done nothing to fix it. I doubt the community is as big as that so it probably won't get fixed. people basically pause the game and you are stuck at that screen until the other player un-pauses or you quit giving them the win. It's frustrating and makes online broken.
There's always some who ruin it for others. Ban them Ban them I say.
Hahahahaha I kicked the numer 2 and number 3 guys on PSN 's ass... The one guy's name is LuckyC and the other guys is Natsumi_hi... Both these dumbasses are broadcasting as if they're so great but were embarrassed and rage quit right before we dropped them... LuckyC barely made it to stage 2 and Natsumi was still stage 1... I'm not the greatest player by any means but my friends have been working as a team for years so we're good enough to challenge anyone and at least give them a run for their money.... Honestly though I feel the worst part is when I called both these guys out l8ter on their broadcast, nothing but D-riding sheep that talk so much crap calling me a liar etc but don't even know the guy, but they kiss his ass as if he's a king amongst men.... God I hate sheep... Glad they caught this guy/guys and aware that losers like this have zero skill and no life... Ban these morons permanently off of their respective systems... There are so many of these idiots online now a days that try to find any little hack/glitch to make up for their lack of talent. When did playing games get so serious?
Cheaters in every game none of the top guys on any leaderboard are legit.
