TouchArcade: Those of you looking to finally jump in to Modern Combat 5 [$0.99] might want to do so now, as the game is on sale at its lowest price yet, $0.99. After a December update and price cut that added new content, options, and IAP to the previous IAP-free game, the game is now at its lowest price ever. You're getting a bunch of game for only a dollar, and one of the most visually-intensive ones on iOS, as it added Metal support not long after launch.
WTMG's Leo Faria: "Despite being little else than a port of a mobile game, Modern Combat Blackout is quite enjoyable, especially if you’re craving for a more traditional FPS offering on the Switch. It makes up for its underwhelming visuals, framerate, and campaign mode with a decent multiplayer and great controls. It gives me hope for future Gameloft endeavors on the console, as well as alerting Activision that you can make CoD-like shooters work on the Switch. You’re losing the race, guys."
The Nintendo Switch finally has a military shooter with Modern Combat Blackout! How does it stack up compared to the likes of Call of Duty or Battlefield?
Short Pause: "Check out the first two missions of the Modern Combat Blackout campaign as well as a few rounds of its multiplayer gameplay."
