GeekParty writes: "When I watch Xenoblade Chronicles X footage, I feel like I’m having a wonderful dream. The varied landscapes are breathtaking, and the alien fauna is gorgeous. Its gargantuan monsters don’t look menacing; they have a strange, otherwordly beauty to them. Even the music makes it seem as though I’ve entered an ethereal wonderland.
And then this guy shows up and kills the mood completely."
The ill-fated Wii U sold very few units, so it is understandable if you missed out on Xenoblade Chronicles X, here are 9 reasons why you should play the Definitive Edition.
I bought it thinking it was like the trilogy and expansion on Switch. I played it for 15 or so hours and stopped. Couldn't get into it, the gameplay was not like the previous ones, it was not what I expected.😕
Greatest RPG ever except end game makes it impossible to complete for anyone who focused on mech battles. Do not focus on mechs or you will be disappointed
Netto's Game Room explains how the Xenoblade titles are connected to each other; from Xenoblade Chronicles, to the newly released Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition, and even Xenogears and Xenosaga.
1 - 3 are connected. Idk if X is connected since I haven't beaten the epilogue in X yet. X will probably be connected.
With Chronicles finished, it's time to return to the mechs and mysteries of Mira
Yes, I agree. We definitely need to retake Xenoblade Chronicles X which btw it left us on a cliffhanger suggesting there wiull be a XCX2 .... and im up for it.
I put so many hours into X, just please ad a music volume setting was going crazy walking around base and hearing
"UH UH... YEAH!.. YEAH!...YEAHYEAHYEEEEAAAAH!..U H UH!"
I can't believe they haven't done it yet, it's the Xenoblade game I'm most excited for, I would buy it in a heart beat.
Speak for yourself, the only face that actually looks bad is the MC they are using for these trailers which is irrelevant because you can change that.
The only other face is the little girl, but she is 13 years old, not sure what people expect from a 13 year old Japanese character.
At the end of the day this is a Japanese game made by a Japanese developer who loves Japanese anime (gundam)and Japanese artsyle.
I partly agree, the environments look fantastic, but the character models leave a little to be desired, though the original Xenoblade had this problem as well. Kinda surprising considering this is the studio that did the Xenosaga games and the characters in those games never seemed out of place compared to the envrionments. That being said, I am still really looking forward to this game.
Finally someone is addressing this... the faces look horrible.. Oblivion/Demon Souls/Dark Souls bad... It's so off putting... it really hurts my eyes.. nightmarishly ugly..
What's the issue? Anime style? If that's it then get over it.
If we're talking graphics yeah it's a turd.
probably because all the processing power is being used to draw beautiful, detail-filled landscapes as far as the eye can see. if they used hundereds of polygons to make a nice face, the environment would look like shxt from a PS1 game.
of course, one could argue they could have come up with some sort of system where more detailed models for faces were used in cutscenes, but i guess this is what happens when you are making an epic game and are tied to time constraints- you have to make sacrifices and compromises.
i would take the lush, detailed environment with smooth frame rate at the cost of pretty faces, rather than beautiful faces in a sparse environment with a 20 ft draw distance, jerking with no detail.
